Can these be used while wearing contacts?

I Googled it for you..."Do not wear contact lenses if your eye is red. Do not use Zaditor drops to treat irritation caused by contact lenses. Remove contact lenses before you use Zaditor drops; soft contact lenses may be placed back in the eyes 10 minutes after use of Zaditor drops if your eyes are not red."

Are these eye drops drying to your eyes? I have severe dry eyes and allergies but want to make sure they are drying.

This was recommended to me by my allergist. I, too, have severe allergies and diagnosed dry eye. They work fine for me and do not dry my eyes.

What is the active ingredient?

The bottle states ketotifen fumarate. My optomologist said it's for dry itchy eyes due to allergies and if you use too often or too little long, it will cause your eyes to itch more. She tested me for allergies which came out negative and told me to discontinue. Hope this helps. Zaditor is made by Alcon and is noted as an antihistamine eye drops

Can this be used with hard contacts?

Zaditor can be used with any contacts, but you must remove your contacts before using and do not put your contacts back in for at least 10 minutes after using. Do not put the drops in your eyes while wearing your contacts.
