After catching a snake in my nesting boxes I found this on Amazon. We have relocated 4 snakes from my hen house to a local barn where they can hunt mice and rats and leave my eggs alone. We'll worth the money! The pole is long enough I don't have to get close to grab the snake. Well pleased with this tool.

Been using the tongs for a few months now and they work really well, only negative is I've had the spring pop off a few times so I had to find it and replace it. Just be sure when you put it together you use the collars and the pop up piece correctly to give it the stability it needs. I missed one of them and bent it pretty badly lifting a 6ft Rat snake out of the chicken coop. Was able to bend back in place.

Handy tool to have. Wish several times in the past I had this grabber, but, a small rattler got into fellowship hall and was easy to capture.

This is a well constructed item however it was not finished! The handle and jaws are made out of stamped steel and then formed and then assembled however the manufacturer forgot to do one more step before assembling this and that step is to de-burr the stamped parts. These burrs are sharp and can and do scratch and even cut a user or anything that they are used to pick up. When testing this it scratched and even cut my hand and I would never use it to pick up anything that was alive for I know it would also harm them for if it scratched a person who was just testing it I can imagine what it would to to an animal that was struggling for it's freedom?????

This should catch a snake if I see one again. Bought two. One to leave outside and one for inside. Happy with the purchase

This is good for dumpster diving when you need a little more reach or a firmer grab. I wouldn't use it for delicate materials or wide objects, but it's great if you need to pull a heavier object and you can get a solid grip on a piece that will sustain the pulling. It's longer than my other grabbers as well.
