I wish I had taken a picture of our van loaded down with this car top carrier, but I forgot unfortunately. We bought this car top carrier in order to drive our six-person family (including two babies that require a double stroller, 2 pack n plays, etc) in our 7-person minivan 15 hours from Iowa to Gulf Shores, AL for vacation. We saw every kind of weather from torrential downpours to a literal blizzard with this thing loaded on our van and it did an AMAZING job! First, this carrier is HUGE. I bought a big one because I do not pack light and we essentially had no room in the interior of our van. But, this was so big we had to help haul other people’s stuff to get it full enough! We even brought home two large suitcases for my parents who snowbird down there and were coming home at the same time we were. We could have fit 2-3 more large suitcases after that! Next, its durability in inclement weather: This thing is the bomb. Amazing. We had a day of driving in downpouring rain, yet everything stayed dry and secure. On the way home, we had to drive in a blizzard and leave the carrier and its contents on our van until the blizzard was over. Again, everything stayed secure and dry inside the carrier. We did have one issue. We used two straps attached to the rack on the top of our van but ran the third strap through our front doors. When it rained, the strap soaked up the rain and dumped it into our front seats of our van. I think next time we may be able to shift the whole carrier back about a foot and use the straps all with the rack on our van. Also, bring extra ratcheting straps with you just in case you need them. One of the straps that came with the carrier wouldn’t tighten well on our way home, so we used an extra one we always carry in our van. We really didn’t notice a huge difference in gas mileage or in how the van drove with the carrier installed. I was impressed how easy it was to forget it was there! Overall, even with a couple drawbacks, this thing was great. With our large family and small vehicle, I think we will use this a lot!

HUGE could fit everything and more. If we had put anymore our roof would have had give but not the bag. If loaded appropriately I would trust it cross country. It didn’t leak and functioned as well. We took 2 8 hour trips with it. It did cause us to go a little slower and use a tad more gas but any bag like this would. It’s a good value for the money because the smaller bags are around the same price. Easy to install with or without racks. We had racks but could have saved room without it. After installed we did not fit in the standard parking garage but we have a tall vehicle and was packed to the max. I mean we packed for 7 people and a baby with a stroller, pack and play, diapers etc.

Made a 4k mile move from Alaska to Georgia and it held up great! The storage capacity is unmatched. My husband was able to fit 3 full size suitcases, 2 paddle boards, 3 duffel bags, 2 totes, giant legos, a large purse, king size air mattress, 3 pillows, 3 blankets and still had room to add my shopping bags. It was absolutely worth the price. It was incredibly easy to install, didn’t even need the instructions but they were nice to have.

It was supposed to be resistant against rain and it was NOT. All of my items got SOAKED on my road trip from just 2 days of scattered rain. Everything inside it is ruined... my family and childhood photos RUINED, as well all my electronics. I bought this item to help with my move from Northern Cali to southern WA. Horrible! I am so upset and disappointed

This was an awesome product as it came with everything needed to mount to any vehicle including a carry bag. It actually folded back up in storage bag. Went through a lot of rain and the workmanship was really good. I was impressed with the zipper and how it sealed the storage space from rain. I highly recommend this product.

Back of the carrier bag torn in several places only after 14 hour drive in 75 degree weather and light rain. Update* the seller is top notch, they reached out to me and I explained what happened with the roof bag and refunded and apologized and was very pleasant. I would buy from this seller again based on the seller was very respectful and understanding. Even when the product was not so good.

Works decently. Definitely does let some water in on long drives. Make sure to pack ur clothing and valuables in trash bags inside your suitcases.

I have a gobi rack on top of my 5th gen 4runner. This thing fits it almost perfectly. There is a little bit of bag that you might need to tuck in depending on how much your putting in the bag. Through rain and snow it keeps everything dry. Highly recommend this bag
