It seems to help my anxious dog.
Lasts for up to 5 months. I think it has helped my new adoptee calm down. I don’t smell anything. One room has horizontally installed outlets and the product leaks a little where bottle and diffuser connect. The green light is very bright and wish it wasn’t.

Really works
This product was suggested by the vet and has worked well to calm my senior skittish, nervous rescue dog. She is traumatized after living in a cage for 8 years as a breeder mama. This has really helped to calm her. I have the spray but the diffuser works best.

It works but not on every pet...
This is a plug-in diffuser, much like Glade Plug-ins or Febreze unstoppables. Unlike either Glade or Febreze, this diffuser has absolutely no scent whatsoever so it's a good idea to keep an eye on it around the 30 day mark for replacing. Anxiety: We have two senior dogs, both with anxieties such as separation anxiety, for one. In one dog this product seems to ease this, but he also benefits from a book on Audible when no one is around - go figure! (It has to be an audio book, he just does not care for music!) The other dog resorts to pacing, like a lion, until she exhausts herself, finally collapsing and falling asleep. Additionally, every evening our boy was having anxiety attacks that would come out of nowhere. He'd whine, pant heavily, and pace for hours. This was the reason we decided to give this product a chance well over a year ago; hopeful the pheromones would either reduce or ease his anxieties altogether. Our former Vet would not even entertain the idea that our dog was going through hell every evening, so we have had to find a solution, through trial and error, on our own. This product has definitely reduced those anxiety attacks down to about one per week. A huge and glorious improvement for him, and us. Thunderstorms/Rain: With continued use, it seems as though this might actually be working for my senior boy. He no longer cries, bursts through pet gates and bedroom doors looking for comfort. Instead he quietly retreats to our lower level, resurfacing about 10 minutes later, and curls up on his bed to nap out the worst of it. It's too soon to tell if this helps our girl, as we've only had one thunderstorm since she came to live with us. Fireworks/other loud noises: Last summer, this made little to no difference in how well my jittery guy handled the noise. We haven't had our old girl long enough to know how she'll react to this type of racket but will keep these on hand just in case. We recently bought these refills for two reasons: 1) it's spring and thunderstorms are starting in abundance and 2) our senior girl joined our home. Because she wakes in the middle of the night and begins pacing anywhere between an hour to two hours, we thought (or rather, hoped) this diffuser would be of some benefit to her. It's been plugged in for the last 60 hours and so far it has not helped with her nervous, middle of the night pacing. It wouldn't be fair to say this isn't working for her as I have little history on this formerly, terribly abused dog. Her environment is still new to her and I feel as if she needs more time to recover from being abandoned, neglected, and beaten. She is a sweet, loving girl who has already bonded with us, but her issues seem deep seated. We will give her time, both with her new home and this diffuser, to see if there is any improvement and / or benefit. Overall, as a repeat buyer, I would recommend with a caution to buyers that just because it might not work for you doesn't mean it's some sort of scam. Your furry friend might have deeper psychological issues, or it might be something/one in your environment making Fido uneasy.

great for our rescue dog!
Great quality! I bought this for our rescue dog when he first arrived as it took him a while to settle in and is a picky eater. Within a few days he was eating regularly and settled in after it was plugged in. It doesn't emit a smell for humans at all and easy to install and re-install.

Didn't help with anxiety issues
I have a rescue dog that has gone through a lot before I brought her home, so she has some anxiety. I had hoped this would help with that. Unfortunately it didn't work at all.

Worth trying!
Reading reviews, it seems like this product works for some dogs but not others. So we knew when we made the purchase, it was a 50-50 chance. Luckily, for us, it definitely works! Our dog developed anxiety after having a couple surgeries. We have noticed a marked improvement in separation anxiety and she barks much less at door. In fact, we can tell if it’s run out and we have forgot to change it by how she behaves. So while it does not work on all dogs, it might work for your dog. Because it worked for ours. Worth a try.

DOES NOT WORK!!
I bought this refill to go along with the kit I bought. This product actually made my dogs anxiety much worse than it already was. I used it for a few weeks thinking maybe it had to build up in his system. Nope! The description wasn't just misleading. It was just wrong on every level. They also claim to allow you to return it if you are dissatisfied. Well, after trying every way possible, I have been denied a refund because it can't be returned. I just keep getting redirected to pages that still won't let me return it.

WORKS in my household!
I'm a veterinary technician and always looking for new products to recommend to clients. I have 4 dogs and 1 cat, so peace and harmony is a wonderful thing to have in a busy household ;) We had a rep from Adaptil come out and talk about Dog Appeasing Pheromones and they gave us a large book with actual studies in there, this isn't just holistic black magic. I started using the Adaptil Comfort Zone diffusers in December when I got my new puppy -- both to help him with crate training and to feel secure, and also to help my senior dog get used to the chaos too. I keep one upstairs on the ground level (family room area) and one in my room downstairs where their crates are. Here's how I personally know it works. In between refilling the diffusers when it runs out, sometimes I'll let it go 3-5 days before I remember. Every single time, my family members and I notice the WHINING with my senior dog. He whines more, paces, barks randomly. It seriously works, it stops him from feeling whatever little senior-dog-insecurities he has. I will always use these now, because time and time again I've tested this and it happens each time when it runs out for a few days. Up until recently I switched to this brand, to see if I got the same results because the 2 pack is much cheaper. (Note, I do use the Thunderease with it's own diffuser, not the Adaptil one, although they look exactly the same). Each one lasts 30 days, simply unscrew and put a new bottle on. It has a place to write the date too so you can keep track. I haven't noticed any difference in quality, the dogs seem the same. I will say I think the Thunderease ran out a little sooner than the Adaptil liquid, but I'm going to keep an eye on that. Love this product.
