EGO POWER+ String Trimmer Attachment, Battery Powered, 15" Trimmer Attachment with POWERLOAD, Use with Power Head Multi-Head System - STA1500

I only ever owned an electric strimmer and that was number of years back, so it was the plug in type and it was very very light weight. So for my garden now, I had been using 2 different 2 stroke strimmers. One of them bit the dust and I invested in this unity since I already had an Ego Power pole saw. I honestly was thinking I could use this for a few days before purchasing another 2 stroke.... I was wrong... I have no need to purchase a replacement 2 stroke. This weed whacker is amazing. The speed at which it spins is far greater than any two stroke so it really does a great job of clearing weeds (even thick ones). It's also a far cry quieter since it's using an electric motor. It is however a bit weighty, especially with the 56Volt battery attached to it, so I do recommend you purchase a shoulder strap for this. However the unit beat my expectations by far and is so easy and safe to use. I love this thing!

Really good to have a back up attachment for a string trimmer it works great and I have 4 other attachments for lawn maintenance this is really good and the price was good as well. So far so good.

This works well, and has a a large cutting path. It’s a manageable weight with a 2.5 battery. I’ve used it for a full season without any issues. It’s a high quality tool, just like everything else I’ve owned from Ego. My only complaint is that the trimmer guard is tiny. My left leg is peppered from grass and debris flying into it. It’s not a big deal if you’re wearing pants, but painful when wearing shorts in the summer. I’m giving this four-stars because I had to buy an additional larger guard, for $15.

Just like all EGO products, this string trimmer works well. I got it as a backup to another full length EGO trimmer that I purchased before they made the multi tool head. It is still working but sometimes we need two.

I recently bought this string trimmer attachment. Tried it out yesterday, it ran fine & had plenty of power. Trimmed well, cut through some pretty tick/tough plants. I saw some reviews expressing concern over these attachments only having stickers for the alignment marks, I get that but also don't think it's really a big deal if the sticker wears off or is damaged. When inserted into the powerhead, they click into place so you know they're fully seated prior to tightening the knob, so I just don't think this is really going to be a problem. I guess you could say I've drank the EGO cool aid LOL. I started with a 650CFM leaf blower & it met all expectations, so later I picked up a Powerhead+ with a pole saw attachment. I'm now up to 6 EGO tools/attachments and 2 batteries, happy with all of them.

This is the third or fourth EGO product I've purchased in the past few months and as with the other elements of the EGO+ elements that work with the 56 Volt Multi Head System. Can't say much more than the product is pretty near perfect. It's easy to use, easy to add new line, there's almost no noise (as compared to the gas powered unit my neighbor uses) and well. . . . We'll just have to purchase another EGO product 'cause their so great. As a note, I got my kid the EGO 24" 56 volt hedge trimmer and now he's hooked on EGO.

This is good kit, but be sure to read the instructions about loading the head; it's easy but only if you do it right. And when you want more line, bump the speed up to 2 to increase the centrifugal force on the line. This said, operating at speed 1 will cut most things fine and you'll have less line breakage.
