I’ve never enjoyed a series more than this
Becky Chambers makes you see the world in a different way - I think she’s one of the best writers of our time and I don’t understand why her or her work is not more well known!! I’m not the biggest fan of sci-fi books, but these are so well written and with so much heart that I think it could be any genre and I’d love them. Saying that - I actually DID really enjoy the world building and getting to know the quirks of the different species. It made me feel part of something special. Thank you Becky Chambers!

Thought Provoking Science Fiction
Becky Chambers deserves to be far better known than she is. Every book draws you into its world and characters and the stories told are deep. They stay with you long after you have turned the last page. To me that is the mark of an exceptional storyteller. I don't often buy physical books anymore but I have everything published to date by this author. These are books that will be read and enjoyed many times over.

I love this series! The characters are interesting, and the overarching themes seem to be acceptance of diversity and self.

It's Sci-Fi, but so much more
Don't let the sci-fi part scare you away, it's not science that we cannot understand, and she explains it all very well. What she is really good at is "world" building and character development. Her characters are not only well drawn, with each characterization, she draws from its roots and family, the world it came from, and the people currently in its life. And the creativity with the different characters body types, sexuality, mobility, etc., etc. is just simply amazing. Conversations are extremely well done, with humor, sarcasm, and everything else that occurs in our reality's daily interactions. Sci-Fi aficionados will love it, but so will will anyone who just loves a good story!!

Most fun reading since I picked up Enders Game
My wife got me Angry Planet for my birthday and I wanted the rest. Burning right through them. I feel like if you like Enders game as a series, these read similarly. I certainly have been burning through them the same. Great stuff.
