Brilliant, highly recommended.
This is brilliant, exactly what I expected. Runs right out of the box. The fact its so easy to add my favourite games from the 80's makes it spot on. Viewing on a large 65" TV shows the 80's pixels up like mad. I now use it on a small 14" screen I purchased separately and it looks much better, more realistic of the size of screen we were all using them on in the 80's.

Brings back memories of childhood!
A real blast from the past here. Seems to work well and allows external connections for any additional games you might have. Good price and gives you a carousel menu for ease of use or you can relive the old days and have the device start up like a vintage Spectrum. Some games look a bit dated but there’s plenty that seem to have stood the test of time that will keep you interested. :)

Superb!!!!!
I was 19 when I first owned a Spectrum, now this updated version is superbly made and the built in games makes this a fab experience. Using the original version of the hardware brings back so many memories and adding a USB with thousands of games is easy making this a complete joy!!!!!

Worth every penny, but no joystick as std, but the Atari 400 mini Joystick works OK with it.
An amazing piece of up to date retro gaming, I was not impressed with the selection of games, you think Jetpac would have been right up there, but Wheelie is a cracking tittle. The on/off button seem a bit weird, but I think its just a quick press for on and hold for off. No joystick as std, but the joystick from the Atari 400 mini made by the same company works pretty good, but it does take some patients to find the right setting for each game. It took me a few hours to figure it out and get my own games to run from USB. This console is well worth the money and the spectrum games run pretty much as I remember. Computer emulators dont quite get it right, if you appreciate it being like the old system, then this is for you. I got mine for £90 and I think its worth every penny, the 4 save slots for every game is a great feature, for all those tough levels. I am glad a company made these modern tech old systems, as older stuff is always a worry, as you dont know how well the last person treated it. It does come with a free A5 magazine for the spectrum and a plastic shield to protect it from dust and spills when not in use. Fairly priced and a must for any old gamer like myself.

80s kids must have!
Such a step back in time! This is fab! Easy to use, easy to plug usb in to play other games downloaded yourself too. Just the sound of the loading tapes was joyful! Deffo get a controller and maybe longer HDMI leads… with our large tvs now sitting so close is a bit problematic. Long gone is my 14” b&w telebox!! All in all…. Worth it!!!

The memories!
A great slice of nostalgia brought up to date. It’s a ZX Spectrum that works with modern TVs, showcases a range of classics and adds a sprinkling of modern titles. Not only that but it allows sideloading of game file that you own (legally of course). As with the C64 mini, Atari 400 mini and the A500 mini presentation is good, there are options to emulate CRT monitors, map joysticks and choose the model of machine plus the ability to boot into classic mode. As for the games, a solid selection of bona fide classics many of which were Crash Smashes back in the day. The only niggle being the inclusion of Starstrike 2 when the original was the better (and faster) game. Most people will find something to bring back warm, fuzzy memories of growing up in the 80s. Or you could just bore the kids with “In my day they knew how to make a platform game!” Whilst failing to progress past the first screen of Manic Miner or Fahrenheit 3000 for the masochists out there.

A Nostalgic Gem with Modern Perks
The Spectrum is a brilliant tribute to the classic ZX Spectrum. It nails the retro vibe with its rubber keys and built-in games like Manic Miner and The Hobbit, while adding modern touches like HDMI output and save/rewind features. Setup was easy, and the included manual is super helpful. Perfect for retro gaming fans or anyone curious about 80s computing. A fun blast from the past—with just enough future built in.
