Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey Rum Cask Finished, 46% ABV, 70cl

This is a well established dublin distillery but not as well known as other Irish whiskeys which is a shame as its fab. All their offerings are great smooth flavour full and generally at a higher proof point than the usual. This one isn't often seen in shops which is a real shame but readily available online. This one it honey floral and sticky toffee pudding in a glass. It comes in at a good 46% abv (92 proof) if your American but doesn't drink that hot its nice and smooth and warming, mixes well but even better neat

First time trying this Sunday Brunch recommended whiskey and it's a cracker . Smooth and definite hints of vanilla . Will be buying again and this seller was best price at time of purchase , very well packaged in Biodegradable cardboard flexible bottle protector and delivery was swift

Le whisky teeling éteins whisky de très bonne conception, pour les passionnés de whisky irlandais, ce dernier sera vous satisfaire, son affinage, en fût de Rome, lui apporte un caractère puissant et une saveur onctueuse.

De primeras lo que impacta es el olor fuerte a destilado que desprende en la primera copa. No sorprende ya que se encuentra al 46°. Por eso y por estar sin filtrar en frío y sin colorante lo compré. El sabor es el tipico de un whisky Irlandés con una nota final muy particular a ron dulce al final. Quizás si no supiera que se finaliza en barricas de ron lo describiría como azúcar moreno. La integración alcohólica me parece sin embargo un poco dura al principio pero en cuanto se oxigena un poco o rebajándolo a 43° se vuelve un trago super suave que entra solo y se libera con mucha más fuerza el sabor a miel. Es un whisky muy ligerito, tipico Irlandés. Quizás no guste demasiado a un aficionado al ahumado o al whisky con más sabor a madera de la barrica porque se nota joven. También se nota que no es 100% malta (también lleva maíz que añade dulzor). Pero es un buen whisky y por el precio es recomendable. Aunque me guste más rebajado esa es la gracia de que venga al 46 o a cask strength, que si quieres lo rebajas y si no lo dejas como está, lo importante es que puedes elegir.
