I really like this electric kettle! It heats up the water quickly and is super easy to use. The glass design looks nice on the counter, and I love being able to see how much water is inside. It’s also easy to clean and doesn’t take up much space. Definitely convenient for making coffee, tea, or hot water in just a few minutes!

I bought this electric kettle because our old one spontaneously died and this was the only model I could find that fulfilled my requirements for a new one: a concealed heating element, automatic shut-off, and a mouth wide enough for me to reach inside with my hand for scrubbing. Beyond that, it's a nice looking counter appliance. It's neat being able to watch the water boil through the glass, and the blue LED indicators are a nice touch. It gives it a friendly, futuristic feel. It boils nice and quickly, too. The only con, and this is minor, is that the black Ovente logo smudges and smears if you touch it or wipe it down while the unit is still warm. It makes for an ugly spot on what is otherwise an attractive piece. Also note: The "max" line is for real. If you fill it even a little bit beyond that line, it will spill onto the counter when it boils. UPDATE: After a few months of ownership and daily use, I have another "con" I need to list; once it has boiled once, it will not turn on again for several minutes, presumably because its thermostat thinks it is still at boiling temperature. I find this unfortunate, and my previous kettles with automatic shut-offs did not exhibit this behavior. Use case: When I want to make a pitcher of hot tea, my tea pitcher is a half gallon. This thing only holds 1.5L, which is just over 3 quarts. With previous electric kettles, I used to be able to boil a full pot, start the tea steeping, and then quickly boil another quart to top it off while the infusion was still taking place. With this new kettle, that is no longer possible, as it takes several minutes for the kettle to become usable a second time, and by then it is too late. While disappointing, this use case failure is not going to be a deal-breaker for everyone. One wonders, though, why this thermostat detects so much residual heat after a boil, even after cold water has been poured in, so as to prevent consecutive boils. Perhaps they could get the design team to correct this in future revisions. UPDATE 2: This just died today, 12/20/2016. It was purchased in April 2015. So it only lasted a disappointing ~20 months of daily use. I guess the next pertinent question is, "Knowing this, would you lease an electric kettle for ~$10 per year?". I suppose I would, but, really there is no excuse for these things not lasting longer. They aren't like brake pads, which, by design, get progressively worn out as part of their normal use; Electric appliances should not need to be so frequently replaced. Unfortunately, all electric kettles seem to be rife with reviews that tell of early failure. So, perhaps this is one of those "they don't make things like they used to" rants. Obviously I need a way to boil water. Microwaving is out of the question, and a traditional stovetop kettle would use more electricity and boils more slowly. So... I either buy another one of these, or play roulette with another brand. Such is 21st century consumerism.

I got this electric kettle for my mom, and she’s been very happy with it. The quality feels solid, and the glass design looks nice without making the kettle feel overly heavy. The weight is comfortable to handle, even when filling and pouring. We haven’t had any issues with leakage, and the 1.5L size is convenient for making multiple cups at once without taking up too much counter space. The temperature control works well for heating water to the desired level, and it boils quickly. I also really like the safety features, especially the automatic shut-off and boil-dry protection. Overall, it’s a well-made, convenient kettle that works great for everyday use.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! It's Soo pretty! It lights up blue when you turn it on also. It heats up water so fast, I just wish it would turn off by its self because my ADHD I'm ALWAYS forgetting it lol. I love the big size and it's so quiet. Great buy!

I bought this in August 2014. We are constantly using it to boil water for tea and coffee. I would say we use it to heat water at least 5 or 6 times a day. After 6 months and hundreds of uses, it still smells like hot plastic when water is at a full boil and it has just turned off. Additionally, some of the plastic has warped on the lid near the pour spout. Also part of the plastic on the handle has begun to warp. I was also under the impression that the entire container was glass, but the bottom is metal. After about 3 months it began to get tiny rust spots, which were able to be removed with a scrubby, but I was a little disappointed by this fact. This has happened again and again. Not a deal breaker, but I'm not impressed. The handle is comfortable. It does overflow the pour spout and make a mess if you pour too quickly. I previously had a stainless steel electric kettle with a less acute pour spout and it poured wonderfully. Overall, I have been happy with the speed with which it boils the water, and the blue lights are neat. It has never failed to turn off when done boiling. However, this week, after having had the item for only 6 months, it stopped working. I don't know if it's the switch itself that has failed, or some other component. Regardless, with as many good reviews as this item has and having paid more to buy the one with a glass container rather than the less expensive plastic ones, I'm pretty disappointed. It says in the product description that it has a 1-year manufacturer warranty, and I will try to contact Ovente to see if they can replace my kettle. If I do not have a good experience with their warranty department, I will come back and change this review from 3 stars to 1. If I have a good experience with them, I'll still leave it at 3 stars. It's OK, but not great. If it didn't smell like plastic after all this time, and if some of the plastic hadn't warped, I'd give it a better rating. Update (3/9/15): As seen below, a customer service rep from Ovente responded the same day I left this review. I had also emailed them that day. When I called the following morning, the customer service rep said she was just creating a shipping label for my replacement and was just about to call me to request a copy of my receipt/invoice from my purchase so she could verify I was still in the warranty period. She was very friendly, very helpful. My new kettle shipped out that day and in less than a week, I had my replacement. Also, regarding the replacement kettle. It seems to have some newer/different pieces than my 1st one. The power button and button to open the lid are white instead of black. Also some of the plastic detailing was a different color. I don't care about these slight variations, but what I did notice was that after boiling water in it only once, it no longer smelled bad like my other one did the whole time. So I'm changing by review to 4 stars instead of 3. We'll see if this one lasts. I hope it will because I do like it.

This works great. I was always worried heating water an the stovetop as my cat may jump up there and get injured well no more of that. When I saw the lights come on total wow effect and that waters boiling in like 6 minutes. It FEELS quality even the cord to the base is heavy duty size it will likely never get hot. The red color is bright and vibrant and I really like getting to use this.

This is my second time buying this. The first was 4 years ago and that one is still going strong. My husband keeps using the microwave for his tea, I got him this as mine is in the mini kitchen downstairs. He loves his new kettle. It is simple and looks nice, like the auto shut off (and blue light).

*update- Aug 21,2026 Bought a 3rd one as I saw a tiny spot near the base of the glass and last thing I wanted was an explosion of boiling hot water sooooo I NOW have a lime green one and will CONTINUE to buy these ever and ever again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bought this to replace my favorite kettle!! Would buy this again and again!! Have used it over a hundred times!! It heats up quickly and rolls down after use pretty quickly as well.

Buen precio para una hervidora El que el botón de encendido esté junto al de abrir la tapa es un buen detalle y evita alguna rotura accidental como cuando el switch de encendido está en la parte inferior --- Actualización Junio 2024 La tapa ya no se queda cerrada, se desgastó la pieza que la mantiene asegurada abajo. Y ahora está sufriendo de problema en el switch pues a veces no prende y hay que usar el rústico método de darle unos golpecitos para que haga contacto. Aún sigue siendo buena keetle, pero me gustaría poder encontrar quién la repare.

沸騰するまで2時間が少し長く感じます。カラーが他の家電と統一できて気に入っています。注文から届くまでが予定より早かったので助かりました。

デザインもサイズも手頃で気に入っていたが、2週間でお湯が沸騰する前に切れるようになった。販売店対応待ち。
