I needed a smaller sized foam roller, I often find the standard sizes are too big for me. This one is perfect for my back, easy on the legs, works exactly the way I wanted! It's comfortable and not too firm, I also like that the texture is more smooth. I have another roller that is bumpy and I don't enjoy it as much compared to this one. Definitely recommend this roller!

I recently purchased the Gaiam Restore Compact Foam Roller, 12-Inch, to aid in my post-workout recovery routine. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product and find it deserving of a 4-star rating, although there are a few aspects that didn't quite meet my expectations. Firstly, the positives: The size of the foam roller is just right, especially for someone who needs a compact, on-the-go tool. Its lightweight nature makes it incredibly convenient to carry to the gym or when traveling. In terms of functionality, it does a decent job of improving flexibility and alleviating muscle pain and soreness. After using it for a few days, I noticed a significant improvement in my muscle recovery time, which is a big plus. However, there are a couple of areas where the foam roller falls short. The most noticeable is the stiffness of the foam. I was hoping for a firmer texture that could provide more intense pressure on tight muscles. While it's effective to an extent, those who prefer a firmer roller might find this one a bit too soft for deep tissue work. Another minor issue is the color of the product. The roller I received is more of a blue/green shade, differing from the color shown in the listing. While this doesn't affect the roller's performance, it's worth mentioning for those who are particular about the aesthetics of their workout gear. In conclusion, the Gaiam Restore Compact Foam Roller is a good choice for anyone looking for a lightweight and portable solution to muscle recovery. It's effective for basic use and can certainly aid in improving flexibility and reducing soreness. However, if you're in search of a roller with firmer foam for deeper muscle penetration, this might not be the best fit. And be prepared for a possible variation in color if you're particular about that aspect. Despite these points, it's a worthy addition to my fitness regimen and I'm overall happy with the purchase.

This does the job cracking your back. That was the main thing I wanted out of it. It is very stiff and not giving. I felt sore in a good way after using it. I wish there was a little more give to it. It's very light and easy to carry. For the price I'm not sure I would recommend.

This works great for taking along while traveling. Very nice compact size can be used while in bed or on the floor. It is pretty firm. The 4" size is very functional especially with injuries where the 6" roller is too much.

I always travel with a foam roller and mat. I replaced a small version of the excellent Trigger point roller I’ve been using for years with this one because it’s smaller and lighter. It does the trick nicely, especially if you’re trying to travel as light as you can.

I was unable to use my larger roller with the deep ridges because I found it to be too much for my fibro body. Also I find it harder to roll on a thicker roller since I don't have a lot of upper body strength and injure myself easily. It weighs almost nothing as is easy to store. My 2-yr-old grand daughter loves it as well! It seems quite sturdy as well and is definitely softer than my other one.

Good sturdy roller. Has been great for my at home physio treatments - 3 times a day. And considering I am not able to get to the floor yet (knee replacement) and doing the exercises on a couch its the perfect size. I have also been using it for muscle release on my thigh. Good product
