My favourite mic I've owned & still going strong after well over a year
I've been using this microphone since June 2025 for podcasting, streaming and creating content, and of the microphones I've owned, this is easily my favourite. I bought the version with the boom arm and it has been permanently clamped to my desk ever since. The clamp is extremely solid and the arm makes it easy to pull the microphone into position when I'm recording and push it out of the way afterwards. 5 stars for the adjustability alone. Setup was ridiculously straightforward. I connected it via USB, OBS detected it and I was pretty much ready to go. I set the LED to pink on the first day and haven't changed it since, partly because I love the pink and partly because I've completely forgotten how. 😂 It took me a few recordings to find the best position for the boom arm, mainly so it was comfortable and I wasn't constantly bashing into it rather than because of any audio problems. Once I found the right position, I've barely thought about it since. Most importantly, I'm really happy with the sound quality. I use this regularly for my podcast and videos and it's been reliable throughout. After well over a year of regular use, the arm, clamp and microphone are all still performing brilliantly. 100% value for money. I'd absolutely buy this again if mine broke. In fact, I like it enough that I've contemplated buying a second one as a spare. Easy 5/5 from me.

Fantastic hybrid mic with clean broadcast tone and excellent background rejection
What stood out: Dual USB/XLR Versatility: The hybrid connectivity makes this an easy recommendation. You can plug it straight in via USB-C for immediate plug-and-play recording, while having the balanced XLR port ready to hook directly into a mixer or dedicated audio interface when expanding your setup. Dynamic Off-Axis Rejection: Unlike sensitive condenser mics that pick up every room echo, mechanical keyboard clatter, or PC fan whoosh, the cardioid dynamic capsule does a great job isolating your voice. It delivers a warm, broadcast-style proximity effect when speaking close. Onboard Controls & Zero-Latency Monitoring: The multi-function control knob makes adjusting mic gain and headphone volume straightforward on the fly. The tap-to-mute button with a clear LED indicator is responsive and avoids noisy mechanical clicks on stream. Software & Aesthetics: The RGB ring adds a clean accent that can be customised or completely turned off via the Maono Link software. The desktop app also lets you tweak digital EQ, a limiter, and a compressor when running in USB mode. Keep in mind: As with most dynamic broadcast microphones, proximity is key. You’ll get the fullest, richest vocal tone by staying within 5–10 cm of the capsule. When running over XLR, the onboard volume/mute controls and RGB lighting are bypassed, as power then relies entirely on your external interface/mixer. An XLR cable is not included in the bundle, so you’ll need to grab one separately if you plan to connect straight to an interface. A standout value for streaming, gaming, and podcasting that punches way above its price point while offering a direct upgrade path to XLR.

Not high studio quality but for the average user it is fine
Easy to install, although the software is a little basic. The mounting arm is good and the mic itself works really well. Cable could be a little longer

Great Mic, cheap arm, decent free software.
Really solid mic for the price and easily good enough if you are not working at a professional level. I've used it for streaming, general gaming online and also a small amount of recording my acoustic guitar and vocals. Yes, there are higher quality bits of gear for this but at the price point its very good bang for your buck. The mic feels solid and has a good look to it. The free Maono software is fairly decent too for free apps. There's a general live monitoring/settings app and a streaming app that gives you control over sound effects etc to use while streaming. With regard to the arm, it does the job and does hold its angles fairly well. It's not particularly robust and the base is particularly poorly designed and fragile, but as long as you support the base/desk grip when you move the arm around, it's functional. You can find lots of different sellers selling the same cheap arm design. Up to you if you go for the bundle or order an arm separately. I would consider it as something to get you started before you consider buying a more robust arm. Bit of a shame as it's just the base that's weak the rest of the arm is pretty good. Happy with the purchase overall, will probably end up replacing the arm at some point.

Great mic, easy to set up and use
Really pleased with this. It's been excellent and dead easy to use from the start. Sound quality is good, and the included boom arm is sturdy and holds position well — it sits exactly where I want it and stays put. The controls on the mic itself are intuitive and easy to reach, and the LED ring is a nice touch. The software is straightforward too, so configuring the mic took no time at all. No complaints — would happily recommend.

Great customer service from Maono! with few QA and transport issues.
Received a damaged PD200W it had part of the paint warn off down to the metal. It was also not aligned with the centre of the book arm and the box was thick with dust. I was concerned this was not a new product so I contacted Maono directly via Reddit and they professionally sent me a brand new replacement no questions asked. This one was perfect with no damage. The first was either damaged in transit or was Amazon reselling returned product. One other noticeable different was with the receiver, the second it came bundled with a soft pouch the first arrived in a cardboard holder. Some inconsistency there between packaging. However hats off to Maono staff for dealing with issue promptly and professional.

App is hogging resources when Idle. Doing malicious stuff.
The mic is ok all in all, sound is alright but my issue is with their APP. For "some reason" their Maono Link app was hogging PC resources, like 15-20% of CPU while being idle and doing nothing. My CPU temp went from 45C idle to 65C on a AMD Ryzensets 9 7950X3D with NZXT Kraken Elite 360 - AIO CPU Liquid Cooler. As soon as I stopped the app via task manager, the temperature went back to 45C. Not even the highest graphics games I play managed to get my CPU to 65C and this app did. Be very careful, I do not know what the app is doing in the background, it only seems to be doing it when the PC is idle, so I doubt is a coding issue, I am pretty sure it is doing something illegal, like scanning, or using your PC resources for some cloud apps - I didn't check my bandwidth consumption or anything, I just uninstalled it. I will continue to use the mic without the app. 1 Star Rating, if I could give even less than that...

Amazing for Podcast like usage
I needed a solution to a microphone audio problem caused by two people gaming in the same room. When using regular mics, even with noise canceling features enabled, you can't cancel out each other, resulting in double input from each player. I looked into getting podcast microphones because I've seen how effective they are with podcaster and radio hosts but the cost is a huge barrier (controller + microphone). Then I learned about Maono and their podcast microphones with an affordable price tag. At $100 per mic, I didn't mind getting two of them. I set them up, one at each computer, and the difference is noticeable. If I am not near my microphone, you can't hear me, which is what I wanted. My wife can talk at her desk next to mine, her voice doesn't get picked up, and vice versa. This is what we wanted all along and I'm so glad I bought these microphones. Sound quality is great too! I came from an Elgato Wave 3 mk1 and my friends didn't notice any differences in my audio quality. The microphone provides 3 connection options. We use the wireless receiver. It's super convenient to have the microphone placed anywhere on the desk without any cables in the way. The battery is rated for 60 hours. I haven't timed it but I have found it shuts off on me in less time than that. Plugging it in for charging is quick and easy so it's not a big deal. I wanted to install the application for the microphone from Maono but online research suggests that the software may contain malware. I haven't been able to confirm that it is safe so for now I haven't installed it. The software isn't really needed to configure it since you can change some settings using the dial on the mic itself, then I adjust the rest with Nvidia Broadcast or in my case, the SteelSeries Sonar app (I use their headphones). Overall, this mic is a really great value. It can be used in a "noisy" environment to record only your voice and has a wireless option to free you from the tanglement of cables. The build quality is great, being metal and comes with a decent microphone stand, but you can mount it if you choose to.

More coming - But Great Sound and Lots of Features!
I'll adjust this review later. So far I've tried several sound clips and they all sound really clear and full. This is a good sound. The features are great (will give more deets in a fuller review later in the week when I've had more opportunity to put this through its paces). The stand is in the very bottom of the box and also, the small box with a black carrying bag contains the wireless usb connector, which is a lot smaller and more discrete than it seems to me in the photos. So it's there - just really small and it is easy to miss. Love the wireless option!
