What does medical grade mean?

Actually, the answer is in the “About this Product” on Amazon.  It’s about PACs and the amount contained in each capsule. And that is more than any other cranberry supplement I’ve tried.  I have consulted more than my share of urologists over the years, various antibioticsthat led to antibiotic resistance, hormone replacement therapy, physical therapy, d-Mannose, etc.  My medical journey for UT health finally led me to the office of a Portland urologist who prescribed Ellura because he has found it works better than any other cranberry supplement on the market today.  I was very disappointed at the cost, $129. for 90 capsules, but I was at the door of last resort.  I suppose it is called “medical grade” because of the pure, highly concentrated amount of PAC in Ellura.  A word of caution:  discuss Ellura with your doctor before adding it to your daily regimen.  A friend of mine began taking it and soon after her Warfarin (blood thinner) needed to be greatly reduced because of a precipitous change in her clotting time.  And be prepared that some doctors do not know what it is, have never heard of it, and assume if it’s only cramberry it okay.   So please find a urologist who is familiar with Ellura and how its daily use affects the human body and your daily Rx regimen.  Be well.

Has anyone tried this vs theracran one by theralogix? i've heard they are the same but theracran is cheaper.

I did some research. It works for most UTI caused by e coli or other similar flagellate bacteria. Studies have shown it disables the flagella (tail by which they propel themselves) in these bacteria. It may not work as well with other less common infections. It also would be potentiated by d-mannose which sticks to these bacteria and carries them out in the urine. So good idea to add that.

Which bacteria is Ellura effective against? only e-coli? or which others?

I'm not sure.  I stopped taking Ellura because of the price.  Instead, I take Thera Cran.  It was recommend by my doctor and half the price.

Is this non gmo? is it heavy metal free?

I got out my magnifying glass. Here's what the label lists: mannitol, magnesium stearate, silicone dioxide, hydroxyprophyl methelcellulose, vegetable capsule.
NO GMOs, or artficial sweetners or preservatives, nor soy, dairy, wheat, gluten, yeast, or corn.
