As a professional photographer and videographer, I've used a lot of cameras over the years, and the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro is easily my favorite action camera I've ever owned. What impresses me most is the image quality and color science. For an action camera, the footage straight out of the camera looks fantastic. Colors are vibrant without looking over-processed, skin tones look natural, and overall the footage requires very little work if you want a quick turnaround. If you prefer more control, the log footage grades beautifully and gives you plenty of flexibility in post-production. One of my favorite features is that I don't have to worry about a dive housing for most of my use. Whether I'm snorkeling, around boats, or out on the water, I can confidently use the camera without constantly worrying about protecting it. That's a huge advantage for how I travel and shoot. We've owned this camera for about two years now, and it has been on countless trips with us. Between travel videos, cruises, boating adventures, and everyday filming, we've put hundreds of hours of footage through it. It has never let me down. Reliability is one of the biggest compliments I can give any piece of gear, and this camera has earned that trust. The battery life is also outstanding. I routinely get more recording time than I expect, which means less time swapping batteries and more time actually filming. I also love how well it integrates with the rest of DJI's ecosystem. The footage matches up nicely with our Osmo Pocket 3, making editing projects much easier, and connecting our DJI Mic Minis is quick and seamless. Everything just works together the way it should. The build quality is excellent and feels every bit as durable as you'd expect from DJI. Even though newer models are now available, I still think this camera represents an incredible value. If you're looking to save some money, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The image quality, battery life, durability, and overall performance are strong enough that I think this camera will remain relevant for years to come. Simply put, this is one of the best gear purchases I've made, and I would buy it again without hesitation.

I have mine on a MotoRadds chin mount, didn’t do it to be a blogger or anything. I did it to have dash cam footage on the bike after a few close calls due to people running stop signs. It’s caught a few funny things on the road and it’s a great way to remember trips with my girlfriend. Well worth the money. I can just hit the record button when I hop on the bike and it turns itself on and starts recording, easy as anything. Footage is gorgeous, great colors and it handles motion stabilization from the bike really well. Has survived several rain storms without issue. I leave it on the helmet most times, but I’ve used it with the stick to get some interesting videos of my dog too, starting to use it for more than what I bought it for. Extra batteries are a great thing to have, small case makes them easy to pocket or toss in a bag. Plus, the battery charger can be used to charge your phone if you’re trying to do edits or review footage on the road and need a top off.

I love everything about this camera. It is compact enough to fit into even a small pocket when the stick is detached, yet the photo and video quality are outstanding. One feature that really impressed me is its wide-angle capability. When taking photos or videos in tight spaces, I was often surprised to discover later that the camera captured much more of the surrounding area than I had noticed when taking the shot. The camera is very user-friendly, and switching between photo and video modes is quick and effortless. It can connect wirelessly to a computer or via USB, making it convenient to transfer files. Its small, discreet design is also a big advantage in situations where using a phone or larger camera might be frowned upon. I also appreciate its water-resistant construction. I don't worry much about it getting wet or even being submerged in water for a short period. Considering its compact size, the camera is remarkably capable. Another feature I enjoy is its versatility. I can use it comfortably handheld or attach it to the stick for different angles and positioning options. The black color is a practical touch as well, since it doesn't show dirt, fingerprints, or makeup stains as easily as lighter colors. Overall, this camera delivers exceptional image quality, ease of use, portability, and durability in a surprisingly small package. I would recommend it.

A such great camera! I have been using since February so now I came here to give my opinion. This camera is not just an action camera, it’s more than that. The combo comes with everything of you need, with one battery I could record for the whole day, but of course it depends of the Quality of video you are using, weather if very hot of course your battery is going to drain faster like your phone. I was in Brazil is very hot, I use going to the beach, swimming pool, parks, at the rain, day light, night light, low light. This camera has a great response with the lights. The brilliant idea of the DJI is giving to this camera an internal memory, so you can start recording right away. But if like to record everything in the maximum resolution you will need a great memory card, because if it has a low quality, it can slow down your camera and you won’t be able to record in total high quality anyway. It’s good it can get a polarized lens set, so if you are in a place like a beach, snow, you can adjust the reflections. The other good thing on DJI pro 5 is the track. The camera will track you don’t matter the movement you are doing. The camera’s microphone is wonderful, you can record everything. If you are inside of some place like your office, bedroom, the camera will capture your voice perfectly. But if you are outside and you need more attention to your voice I recommend to get the microphone DJI mic 2 because the comes with the receiver inside already, and for sure the receiver connection is way better than a Bluetooth connection. With the receiver connection you can be in a such huge distance and the microphone will still capture your voice. Totally different of a Bluetooth connection it gets maximum 10m if you don’t have any interference. So what I can say go pro is nothing close of DJI 5 pro you can you as a personal camera for a blog, webcam, Studio camera and of course a amazing action camera, without worrying about over heating like go pro. If you were in doubt about it? I can affirm for sure DJI pro 5 has everything you need in one camera. Waterproof ocean water and natural water. But after using at the ocean or swimming pool always wash your camera and make sure you closed all the connection’s ports so you won’t have any issues. DJI pro 5 has the functionalities of time lapse, slow motion, tracking, UHD 4k, the app works perfectly and gives you many options of resume of your videos and other options. I’m using on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and works perfectly and I use on my Samsung S20FE and worked perfectly too. Another thing that I loved is when you are recording you can see you on the front screen too. And if you are using just to record around and using only the back screen, so you can turn off the front screen, the same with the back screen. Something I got disappointed with the Insta360 ace pro 2, because I need all the time to move the back screen when I wanna see if I’m recording myself on the right way. This camera with the combo worthy what you are paying for.

I got the Adventure bundle which comes with the usual Action 5 pro and accessories, along with the additional extension rod and battery packs/case. So far, the video quality has been excellent, and battery life is definitely a bonus compared with other action cameras. One thing I did notice is that it does generate some heat after a couple minutes of video use. But nothing unmanageable after some rest. Regarding the extension rod, it has a premium build quality feel. One downside is that it is purely mechanical and there is no button to take selfies when fully extended. Instead, you would need to use the Mimo app to actually take the picture. Otherwise, you could just start a video recording, and then start using the rod. One advantage of the DJI action cameras vs alternatives is the integration with DJI mic (sold separately). It doesn’t require an additional DJI receiver to work, a major convenience.

Works fantastic underwater.. the photos were so much better than the actual clarity of the water thru our masks!

I like the device, and its performance is lovely. I enjoy the fact there’s onboard storage so if you don’t have a card you can still use it right out of the box. The sound is good, though highly suggest getting the mic if you want good crip sound. As for battery life it really comes down to what you use with it. Put everything to max and you’re gunna eat the battery alive, but you still get a good 2-4 hours of recording and I say that’s very reasonable. Plus this set comes with the extra batteries, only thing is you really want to use a power brick to charge the pack, using a pc port will leave you changing for eternity it seems. My biggest gripe is the need to pair with the app before you can use it. Which I understand why it’s done but I don’t feel it should be necessary and honestly it’s very intrusive. Given that you can’t even get the app on the Google store anymore- it really is a bit of a barrier and just feels like a scam waiting to happen.

So far I love it. I used a GoPro2 many years ago, and the this is so much better. I have used a GoPro Max a little as well since then. Its heavier than I expected but not too heavy. Easy to get up and go. 4K recording is awesome. Lots of excessories available. The battery lasts very long, though I have managed to burn through up to 2 of the 3 mine came with while out recording. Plenty of battery though with the 3 pack. Lots to learn for pro modes for cinematic or Vlog usage but as an action camera its incredibly easy to use. There are several easy pro mode settings teaching videos out there to learn for your style of recording. Love the features and durability so far. Surprisingly ok mic as well though I plan to get a lapel mic if I will record myself speaking. If I drop it out of an airplane tomorrow, I would buy again.

La cámara llego antes y con todo completo, la he usado por un mes. La he probado bajo el agua y no he tenido problemas. El modo nocturno funciona bien aunque no estabiliza como en modo de video regular, el audio es bueno, la batería dura lo que promete, el almacenamiento interno es un gran extra. El único contra es su software, es complicado y bastante básico en cuanto a lo que ofrece (aún así he exportado correctamente a mi android). En general la recomiendo.

Nice product and easy to used.

Bought this DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro (the adventure combo) for my son and he is very happy. He uses it for hobby and when he go for bike rides with friends. Honestly its been amazing so far. No complaints at all. Video quality is very nice, stabilization is smooth, and its easy enough for an amateur to use without much trouble. He told me it meets and even exceeds all expectations. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend.
