Beautiful headset that brings me right back to the good old days.
I played for the last 8 hours today on this headset and I am blown away. This is the BEST headset I have ever used. I used the old A40’s for over 10 years. They were a beast of a headset and put me ahead of the competition for years. The only problem was that it was wired. The cord would frey over time and eventually screwed up the mixamp after too many rage induced drops. I decided to get the audio sync only as I have little to no desire to pull up the video at the same time as the audio every time. I tend to play the devices one at a time with no need to switch my HDMI along with it. If needed I can switch it by hand. The headset charged very quickly and was easy to understand out of the box. Watching a YouTube video on the set up might help if you have any questions. The a50s are extremely comfortable and somehow light while retaining their solid feel. The mic quality is unbelievable, you could stream with how good it is. Seriously! Even though they don’t have noise canceling, I cannot head an outside sound while they are on my head. Bluetooth is great and the controls on the side of the headset are a little strange but it only took me a few hours to get used to them. (Such as to mute the microphone you just push it up). The sound quality is amazing for both music and games especially, you can hear footsteps from so far away. I love the Bluetooth feature as well, it’s just such a great headset. If you have the money I’d pull the trigger. If you really need to switch your monitor at the touch of a button get the PLAYSYNC + Audio version. But for me the audio version is perfect. The only problem I have is the Astro command center app for PC but that’s a different matter entirely.

Astro A50 Gen 5. Not A50 X
My husband has been using these and absolutely loves them. The sound quality is really good, and they’re an upgrade from his old Astro A50. They’re comfortable enough to wear for hours without bothering his head. The wireless connection is solid overall, though he did mention his old headset had a better range — he could walk to the fridge without disconnecting. The mic quality is clear and his friends can hear him well. Setup was easy, and switching between his Xbox and PC is convenient. He has the PLAYSYNC Audio version (not the PLAYSYNC Video & Audio), and it still works great for his setup. Overall, they’re a great headset and definitely worth it if you game a lot and use two or more systems.

Amazing sound and comfort for long gaming sessions
I’m really impressed with these headphones. The sound quality is clear, immersive, and perfect for gaming, especially when it comes to hearing footsteps and small details. The wireless connection is stable and easy to set up on different devices. They are also very comfortable, even after hours of use, thanks to the soft ear cushions and adjustable fit. The battery life is excellent and lasts a long time without needing to recharge. Overall, a great investment if you’re looking for high-quality wireless gaming headphones. Highly recommended!

Great Headset, Mostly
If I could give 4.5 stars, I would, but 5 is fine. This headset sounds great. The volume is loud, the battery is good, mic is fantastic, the charging dock is a huge plus. I would only take of half a star because for some reason, this headset makes my ears hurt. I've bought aftermarket pads that have bigger ear holes, but something is just putting pressure somewhere. Don't let that scare you, I still wear them multiple hours, but there's definitely some ear soreness from it; it was definitely worse with the stock pads, so some bigger aftermarket pads are recommended; which is better, but doesn't solve the problem completely. I do wear glasses, so could be pressure / clamp force related.

Amazingly Comfortable And Convenient
Wow these headphones are amazing. First of all, it's easily one of the most comfortable pair of headphones I've ever had on my head and ears. The sound is superb and you can change the settings in the equalizer. Extremely good sound quality and seemingly no latency for a wireless connected headset. The mic: The mic ACTUALLY sounds good! It's so rare that the mic connected to headphones sound anywhere decent, let alone having a quality sound! I couldn't believe the clarity in the mic especially in the broadcaster mode. Unbelievably convenient: The fact that the stand included charges the headset is a serious game changer. I haven't had to plug a wire to the headset ONCE, the headset lasts all day for me and at the end of the day I just put them on the stand and BOOM! It's charged the next day. The ability to seamlessly switch between different devices is amazing. The sheer convenience of having to deal with no wires and just letting the stand charge the headset is genuinely life changing. The headset has a perfect weight to it and it sits on my head very comfortably and I can keep them on for HOURS without problems. (I tested them with my glasses and they're still very comfortable with them!) The only con I'd say is that it's a bit pricey, but if you value the amazing features this headset offers, you might consider it worth the purchase! Overall it's an amazing headset!

Amazing, but swivel on mic loose
Very good quality headset mainly for gaming. This headset definitely lets you hear footsteps clearly in games like Valorant and Apex, games that I mainly play. After having it for about 2 months, no problems so far. Ghub is good in getting custom presets that enhance the sound quality even more. The ONLY thing bad about this headset that I've had to do is that the swivel on the mic (sliding it up and down), got pretty loose a few days ago. The only time it would stay in place is when I had it all the way up. Quick internet search found that taking apart the left side of the headset (not very hard, took me 10 minutes max), to tighten the screw that the mic swivels on. Other than that, sound quality, mic quality is a huge huge upgrade from my G Pro X Wireless 1.

Initial Impressions Are Looking Good
I recently changed my review for the Logitech G935 down to 2 stars after running into many of the same issues as the other reviewers who left negative reviews. I was disappointed they were right, as Logitech has always provided a quality and lasting product. I also said that I was going to be getting this headset. I purposefully did not read any reviews until I had it in my hands. Here are my initial impressions out of the box: - Durability: The headband cushion feels incredibly flimsy. I've seen quite a few other people talk about this, and I fully believe and expect this will be a source of contention shortly. It is only connected by two seemingly flimsy tabs. One person said they zip-tied it in place right out of the box. I can't say I blame them, but I won't resort to that. If this breaks, I'll be sending it back. - Setup: The setup is straightforward. However, regardless of which platform you use, you will need a minimum of two cords to fully set up (a power cord for the base and a USB plugin for the platform). Once the headset is on, connected, and set to the right input/output, my PC and Logitech GHub app detected it immediately. I should point out that all of the required cords were included. On top of this, they also included outlet adapters for every type of outlet I know of (European, Middle Eastern, etc; there are a total of 5 outlet adapters). I point this out because other reviews say they didn't get the correct plug adapter (I may have a new generation of the headset). - Weight: I saw some reviews commenting on the headset's weight. In my hand, they don't feel heavier than my G935s, although admittedly, those are already on the heavy side. I don't suspect that this will be an issue for me, but if you have used primarily lighter headsets in the past, it may be an adjustment for you. - Dolby Atmos activation/upgrade: Based on the literature and starting stages of setup, my initial understanding was that this was a paid upgrade accessed via monthly subscription (which is outrageous on its own, but I digress). Thankfully, this is not the case. A license to use and access Dolby Atmos for Headphones is included with your purchase of this headset, and the only thing you have to do is download the Dolby app. If your headset is on, Dolby will automatically detect it and apply the settings. I can tell that it did SOMETHING, but I haven't noticed any life-altering changes to the sound quality yet. Furthermore, there is a built-in EQ in the Logitech GHub app (I know many people don't like this app, but I have had good luck with it so far). - Comfort: The earmuffs are comfortable but on the smaller side. My ears don't seem to fit into them as well as they did in my G935s. The ear placements are fully adjustable, so you can raise/lower them as needed. I saw other reviewers say they couldn't do this. I may have a new generation of the headset. - Sound quality: As stated previously, I had a pair of Logitech G935s. They produced impressive sound, and I was thoroughly content with them. Since this isn't a MAJOR upgrade (in my opinion), I wasn't overly blown away by a distinct increase in sound quality. If I'm being 100% honest, I was initially slightly let down before adjusting the EQ to a more familiar tone. Now that it sounds more like I'm used to, it sounds about the same as my G935s. I'm by no means an audiophile; I use headsets for Discord, video games, and sometimes music. I care more about bass and clarity than anything else. Do with this information what you will. All in all, I remain hopeful. It only gets four stars because the headband cushion issue is...well, going to be an issue. I don't like that I could pinpoint a potential source of contention as soon I put it on my head. But to be fair to Logitech, it works as expected right now. I will update this review in the future, especially if I have any issues with this product.

The Astro A50 is incredible! The sound quality is crystal clear with deep, powerful bass and super-immersive surround sound. The wireless connection is flawless, the battery lasts forever, and the base station makes charging effortless. Comfort is top-notch—I can wear it for hours without even noticing. The mic is super clear, and the flip-to-mute is genius. Easily the best gaming headset I’ve ever owned—worth every penny!
