Awesome set of golden coins, perfect for MTG tokens or physical tabletop RPG currency
I don't know what it is specifically about this pouch of fake money that has me so enamoured. I can't help but play with the pouch full of golden coins, it makes the exact clinking sound I'd imagine a bag full of gold would make when you move it around. The dragon theme is awesome too and I have a deep love of dragons, which is likely another reason I enjoy the pouch and coins so much. The pouch has UV reactive dragon eyes sewn into it and it looks/feels like scaly leather, the coins have a dragon design on one sign and a geometric pattern on the reverse side. The lining on the inside of the pouch is nice and soft and it is topped with a leather-like string that has an aged metal looking cord lock on it, which does a great job of keeping the pouch closed even with me playing around with it. After some time under any strong UV light, the eyes are charged up and ready to display a faint glow when in complete darkness. The glow isn’t mind-blowing and it doesn’t last very long, but it does give off enough light to identify them as dragon/lizard eyes at a fair distance in total darkness. It’d be a nice touch if the seller included a small keyring sized UV LED light for charging the eyes up to show it off to people during a D&D session. The coins have enough heft to them to make them feel legitimate and I threw about a dozen or so onto my scale to check the actual weight and they all measured between 4.75g and 4.80g. The coins are all finished to the same standard, and not a single one in the hundred included show any defects or differences from the rest. I'm actually really impressed by how consistent the set is, which is the only slight negative, they’re too perfect to be a believable prop but they’re a fantastic starting point. If you want to add a touch of realism you should totally consider adding some artificial ageing to the coins yourself with some chips, dents and grime with some washes and dry-brushing. The coins have plenty of detail to soak up some paint, and a very small amount of effort could take these 10/10 coins all the way to 11 on the believability factor as a fantasy currency. I can't see the price at the moment as it says it's unavailable but I wholeheartedly recommend these. Or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one who happens to be a tabletop gamer or just enjoys fantasy lore.

One of the coolest things I've ever got from Amazon.
This filled pouch arrives sealed in a gold colour mylar pouch & it's just about the coolest thing I've ever come across on Amazon. The pu leather pouch is textured as if it's from a mythical beast & has inset eyes which look awesome when it's daylight, but even better in the dark. The glowing eyes effect doesn't last too long in the dark, but I'm glad about this because I wouldn't want to wake up one night & find them glowing at me. While it lasts, it's brilliant. It's approx 16.5cm high, &12.5cm wide. The top has a drawstring made of a leather/plastic sort of cord with a metal catch on it (the ones you press a button on to loosen/tighten that stays put when you let go of it). I might replace the cord & keep the catch as it doesn't look quite right. The coins inside are more a pale brass/bronze colour than real gold coins are, but they look brilliant & the pouch feels heavy when filled - it makes a satisfying thunk if you drop it down on a table. They are metal, cannot be picked up with magnet, with a nice deep impression on each side, as shown in the product images & the only things I could think of to make them better would be a slightly deeper gold colour & to be a little thicker. They are very thin (maybe 2mm deep) & about 2.5cm in diameter, but they look great, feel really solid in your hand & I can't bend one - I really tried to, it wasn't happening unless I went & got a hammer to help. I have seen real old coins this thin, but all of these are uniform with no dinks or worn parts so I may age a few to see how that goes. These will last & last. They don't look like real coins (I think partly because they are too perfect & partly because they have no writing on them at all), but they would definitely look the part mixed amongst other 'treasure' in a treasure chest, or to use as tokens in all sorts of games. I did think they seemed a bit high in price before I got them, but as I think they'd outlast me I actually do think they are worth the cost for something so neat that costs less than one real silver coin would.

Upgrade you D&D!!!
This is a cool upgrade for your D&D game night. I picked up these, some fake doubloons, and some Chinese luck coins to mix in a little bit of multinationality feel while using money on game night. I bought a handful of $7 leather coin pouches to toss at my players while growling "Here is thy gold, Adventurer!" The party was greatly amused.
