I've waited a long time to purchase Rules of Engagement on Blu Ray and finally I have it. The price was excellent, and I received it the next day - outstanding service. Thank You!!

4 of 5 stars for the military drama movie Rules of Engagement. Let's start by saying any movie with Tommy Lee Jones ad Samuel L Jackson is one that I will like, both are among my favorite actors. Our two lead characters fought together during Viet Nam and experienced extreme action. Moving forward in time Jackson's character is still active in the Marines and is picked to do an embassy extraction in the middle east. His mission encounters heavy automatic weapon fire as they touch-down in the embassy compound. Extracting the Ambassador and his family, fire become heavier killing and wounding several Marines. Jackson eventually orders his troops to return fire killing over 80 people outside of the embassy. The key question was, were these people armed and firing upon the embassy? If so, they were combatants; if not they were civilians. The movie shifts to a legal and courtmarshall drama. Jackson asks his old friend Jones to be his attorney. A very well made movie. Great action intensely photographed. Solid characters and real drama. This is a long movie but well worth the time to watch. I do recommend it!

Tommy and Samual performed excellently followed by the rest of the cast. It pushes the limit of doing what is right regardless of the outcome. Never tried of repeated viewing like the other two titles which mentioned. Great respect for COL Terry.

Always a great story with deep character development and amazing acting by both leads and supporting. It hasn't aged poorly at all.

This is a great movie featuring 2 of the greatest actors. I have seen the movie previously and wanted to get one copy for my personal collection in blu-ray. After waiting for a long time finally I saw Rules of Engagement in Blu-Ray and did not hesitate one second in buying it. Upon arrival that same night we decided to watch it. What is my surprise that this version is UK version and won't work on my player no matter what. What a disappointment. I should have read the full description first however I do have several other UK movies that work perfectly on my player. Anyway it is a fantastic movie with great actors, plenty of drama both at home as well as abroad. There isn't a single dull moment. Strongly recommended !

Blu-Ray transfer looks amazing

Jackson, Ben Kingsley und Guy Pearce. Es geht hier um die Befreiung des amerikanischen Botschafters im Jemen (Ben Kingsley), die in einem Blutbad endet. Interne Militär- und Politkreise schieben die Schuld auf Col. Childers (Samuel L. Jackson). Der lässt sich von seinem alten Kumpel aus dem Vietnamkrieg Col. Hodges (Tommy Lee Jones) verteidigen. Auf der anderen Seite steht der Ankläger Major Biggs ((Guy Pearce). Die schnörkellose und spannende Gerichtsverhandlung und die knallharten Actionszenen fesseln bis zum Schluß. Mut, Heldentum und fiese Intrigen - alles wird hier geboten und fesselt den Zuschauer von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute. Dies ist der beste moderne Militärthriller, den ich kenne. Das Bildformat ist 16:9 (Farbe von deLuxe), der Ton Dolby Digital dts-HD, Sprachen Deutsch und Englisch. Extras: Audiokommentar, TV Spots, Trailer, Interviews und eine hochinteressante Featurette!.

I loved Rules of Engagement. Its a great film with a very believable story and great actors. Two top actors are the main characters in this movie and they do a great job. The movie is about a decorated army officer that is asked to protect the US embassy in Yemen. While doing so he made a very difficult choice to either protect his men by giving a shot to kill order or die in combat while protecting his men and embassy staff. The US government in the other hand to save face wants him on trial over murder while destroying evidence. Very thrilling story.I wont spoil it for anyone but all you need to know the story is great. The blu ray picture quality is not the best but its not bad either. Definetly a must watch movie.
