This is a very quiet machine, I have auditory sensitivity and it does not bother me when it is working. However, it is in a separate room with the door closed and I can not hear it. If it was in the kitchen somewhere, I would be able to hear some noise but it's not irritating or loud at all. It is made well. So far no issues. I have instead of putting whole pieces of left overs, I take all of the scraps and I blend them, strain and squeeze out all the liquid and then put into the composter. It saves space and I do not have to run it 3-5 times a week. I run it maybe 1 time a week now or even less and our household produces a lot off scraps from veggies, fruit etc. I would refrain from putting hard stuff in here like bones or a banana stalk thingy. I normally take the bones, crush them up with a meat tenderizing mallet and bake in the oven but only chicken bones. Then once baked and dry, I take a blender and blend it into a powder. It's worth the price. It does not smell bad but you must change out the filter.

Horrible purchase. It worked perfectly for 3-4 months and now can hardly compost coffee grinds. DO NOT buy it.

Purchased this as a gift for my husband. He absolutely LOVES it! Get this for anyone that is interested in gardening or composting. Works great and was easy to set up. His only complaint is that the dirt sticks to the sides sometimes, but easily comes off.Fairly small footprint. Sits on our counter and you never smell anything when its doing its business!!

I liked the composer until the lid cracked and it stopped working. Isnt there a warrantee on this item? It did not last very long. I need to replace the lid like another reviewer said but they don’t replace parts evidently. So I will be looking for another brand. There is another with a top that does not screw on just closes so I am hopeful that one will last longer

I bought this for my husband and he put to use the very next day. It came on time and all assembled. I took some time to see how it works and then review. I keep the vegetable and fruit scarps, coffee, egg shells which I used to throw before. The machine is pretty simple to use. Just plug in , place the bucket as per the lines marked , fill it with the scraps and close the lid. The start is 3 sec touch and then you choose what capacity and the mode. When you come back few hours later the magic is done. The bucket full of scraps turned into compost. I have using it on peach trees and it loves it. I recommend using it at night as it tends to get little smelly when its doing its job. Great product. I do recommend.

This worked amazingly well for two cycles and then part of the lid correct which led to liquid leaking out and then the cycles took longer

Not a bad little machine, but it does not last long, just long enough for the 30 day guarantee to pass and then it dies. Anything that gets less that 4 stars on Amazon is a WARNING: Do not buy. It had a higher rating when I bought, so I got taken.
