XMONDO Color 5G Golden Brown Color Depositing Mask & Glossing Treatment Infused with Bond Boosters for Nourishment, Revitalize & Repair, Vegan Formula, 8 Fl Oz

I recently went from platinum blonde to lived in blonde with a natural 5/6 root. The contrast was really severe even with a perfect blend. I wanted to try something cool, but darker for fall without committing to something more permanent. This was the right choice! I've never been disappointed with anything from Xmondo thus far! I've actually been waiting for Brad to come out with the higher end colors of this mask! The 8A lived up to my expectations! It's really a classy beautiful ash without a severe gray tone. It looks very natural. Along with my seamless blend that's starting to grow out, it really shines! Before application I only shampooed my hair, and used a k-18 leave in. Once my hair was dry I worked from the nape of my neck up in small sections while using a detangling brush to make sure the product was going on evenly. It's really easy to apply, and the brush went smoothly through my hair without tangling. The product smells lovely too. I did twist it all up after application, and tucked it into a shower cap. I popped a beanie over it. I had to bake my sourdough bread, and walk my dogs along other evening tasks. I finished the application around 9pm then washed it out as directed with shampoo and conditioner. There's was barely any color rinsing down the drain. I'm not sure if it's that good for the vivids, but it didn't stain anything. The bonding tech in the product was very noticeable with how soft my hair felt while rising and shampooing. I added a picture of my hair wet and dry. The color was pretty true even when it was still wet. It felt amazing while I was drying my hair. The bonders were not slacking! It feels so silky soft! I baby my blonde but I still feel a difference after all is said and done. Smells lovely, too. I'm also going to be buying the xmondo fragrance spray. I just love the xmondo signature scents. All around it exceeded my expectations! Even with this rich color it still feels bright! I'm looking forward to seeing my hair in natural light in the morning! It's just a all around beautiful ash. I have very fair skin with dark blue eyes and this color just makes my look complete! My skin tone goes really well with this color and the blue in my eyes pops as much as it did when it was white white blonde! I am so very pleased!!

I’ve used the blue, purple and pink before and loved them. This was my first time trying copper/more natural shade. I have a lot of gray from immune issues and my hair was super dull before. I was worried about it looking red vs copper since I didn’t pre-lighten. But it turned out great. My grays are less noticeable for now and my hair looks loads healthier and thicker. My scalp is a little orange but that’s because i made sure i was very saturated- I cleaned up my part with a q-tip and micellar water.

This review is specifically for the 5N /dark brown color Scent - same scent as other xmondo products. To me it is very jasmine perfume. I personally don’t care for the scent but some people love it. I can deal with it but could be a negative if you are sensitive to fragrance. Or it could be a huge plus if you love the scent Packaging - solid quality feel packaging. Nice wide opening allows you to easily access the product whether using a brush or hands. No need for color bowls. Value - I’d say this heavily depends on your hair. Short hair will probably get 3-5 uses. I have shoulder length hair and looks like I’ll get 2-3 uses. Longer hair may get one use or need 2 for really long hair. Feel - thick consistency. Nice that it’s not runny. You have good control over it. Like a thick conditioning mask Caution this WILL stain on contact. Make sure you are careful to cover the area you are working in and wear gloves. I have a dark tile shower but I would not be surprised if this would stain a white tub. I would def say have the bleach ready to go to clean up immediately. Color - obviously this will vary by person but here’s my experience. I have naturally dark hair (level 4). I also have some grey and bleached highlights. I have been trying to transition to a lower maintenance hair routine in the last 2 years and mainly using semi permanent color (professionally done). I’m not a stranger to dark hair. I’ve had level 3 color in the past (which for most people is essentially black). I am not a hairdresser but imo this is not a level 5 color as the name would imply. To me, getting my hair colored for 20 years on my base, this is a 3/4. It is very very dark, almost black. I’d strongly suggest doing a test strand if going too dark is a concern for you. There are a lot of green undertones so you will not have any warmth. Would I recommend? No. Do the test strand. For myself, I feel like I need something softer at this point. This color feels a bit harsh on me but it may be exactly what you’re looking for. Update - I tried the 5G color. Mistake! This has such heavy red tones that I look like red was my intended color. Extremely disappointed and will not be trying any more of these colors. I actually went to sally beauty to see if they had anything to help the heavy red brassy tones. Thankfully it’s semi permanent so I’ll be trying clarifying shampoo and blue shampoo to hopefully quickly reduce the unwanted color. Honestly the reaction when I told the lady I had used this said it all. Not recommended

Maybe it’s just my hair (fine and not highly processed), but this product left a horrible coating on my hair that made it look like it hadn’t been washed for a month. No shine. I had to wash and wash to get it out.

Amazing product. A little darker than I expected but better than my previous yellow blonde. My hair feels so much softer after this and it smells amazing, I keep smelling my hair like a crazy person.

It left my hair refreshed, soft and shiny. I left it on for three hours as I needed to remove warm tones from my hair. It turned out darker than the 7A expected, but the colour was rich and beautiful and it left my hair in better condition. Well worth it to do a colour correction with no damage. I only used a small portion and have enough for several future color refreshes. I can’t wait to do it again.

I am thoroughly brokenhearted with this product. On application, it felt gummy. It wouldn’t spread nicely and it felt absolutely awful in my hair. I left it on for just under 20 minutes before washing it out. It felt amazing in the shower, like I could easily brush my fingers through my hair and it felt hydrated and nice but once I stepped out of the shower and towel drying, that’s when the nightmare started. My hair is now brittle, stringy, stiff and feels like I just went 4 rounds with raw bleach. It broke a lot of my hair off (as you can see in the pic). It actually stripped my hair color from the strawberry blonde I had to this pale, greyish blonde. I got the no color super gloss, so I don’t know how this happened. My hair feels dry, despite the product claiming to “boost the bonds for healthy-looking hair”, “reduce visible signs of split-ends”, and “infuse hair with ultimate hydration”. It feels like it did the opposite, and there isn’t any shine regardless. I am so disheartened and unimpressed by this product, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. For something that was suppose to “elevate” my hair, I didn’t know this would be something I would have to recover from.
