Rather than reading the whole book all at once, I recommend daily reading a new story and taking time to reflect on each story and its applications in your own life. Highly recommended for tweens and young teens, ages 11-15 or so. It’s not a bad read for adults too: Short, thought-provoking stories about how to feel positive and more satisfied in life. Five stars!

I really like this book. It is very kind and has lots of self love and encouraging language. The stories are good at illustrating problems one may feel personally during adolescence, then the resolutions come from personal growth. If you have a kid that needs more positive experience with positive self talk, this is a keeper.

Every little girl in the world should read this book. I am not joking. I would say there should also be a version of this book for little boys. Absolutely marvellous! The author deals with many issues common to little girls that erode their self-esteem, and this book will inspire and give them the tools to rise above to become the best versions of themselves possible. I also loved the compassion towards those who wronged the various protagonists, realising they are fallible human beings worthy of forgiveness and redemption. I have said many times that personal development needs to be part of the school curriculum, and books like this are well-suited to that cause. It would also help stamp out bullying, something many of us suffered in our youth, by encouraging kindness and self-reflection. If you have a little girl, grab them a copy, and I suggest you read it yourself, as even adults can learn from this book. Highly recommended.

Purchased for my 9 year old granddaughter who is high functioning but on the spectrum. Her exuberance for life will be tested I am afraid, so I wanted her to know that she is not alone and that other kids have challenges as well. She loves this book and will have it on hand whenever she feels the need to read about another girl going through what she is facing.
