That lasted for a few years, but under the constant heat of the sun on the south side of my house, and pressure from the wind blowing against it, it eventually started to sag. This kit comes with everything you need, has a really nice either powder coat or premium matte paint finish, and it's a much better design than cheaper options. I hate having to do things twice, but glad to do it a second time with this so I don't need to repeat it a third time.

This is exactly what I needed for my wooden gate. Originally I thought I could get away with proper gate design and a simple wire system to keep my gate a proper square. That lasted for a few years, but under the constant heat of the sun on the south side of my house, and pressure from the wind blowing against it, it eventually started to sag. This kit comes with everything you need, has a really nice either powder coat or premium matte paint finish, and it's a much better design than cheaper options. I hate having to do things twice, but glad to do it a second time with this so I don't need to repeat it a third time.

ordered for a problem gated, local hardware stores had similar options for 30% more than the cost of this one so we decided to give it a shot. the included braces helped reinforce aging gate that is probably a little too big for the design. It now lines up with the fence the way it should, no more sticking or having to do a secret push/pull dance to be able to use.

To be sure, this gate kit is not designed to do large, heavy gates. It is designed to a normal (30"-36"), faced, partially-faced or open-faced gate of about 120# or less. The black powder coated finish is attractive regardless of gate materials or color. Assembly is easy and very sturdy. The included latch hardware is a great bonus.

I have made many gates and shed doors from scratch with very good results but a contractor friend of mine recommended this type of kit so I gave it a try for my new shed door, I’ve already spent twice the time and money with this kit the first problem is the provided hinges as they sit at the very top and the very bottom of the door frame with a thick metal strap that has to be on the outside of the door frame which causes interference with a inner jamb also if you have ever cut hinge mortises you really don’t want them at the very top or the very bottom of your door jam. This is a poorly thought out item and I would say don’t buy it. It doesn’t work very well and it’s $28 wasted.
