Versatile
Works great as a center speaker or satellite speakers in a surround sound. Not big enough sound for mains. Likes bare wire connection at the unit end itself, using spring terminals. I used Sewell dead bolt flex pin and unless these were just barely inserted into the terminals, they sent my AVR into protection mode. Bare wire was fine, though. Only speakers I had this problem with but it was consistent over 4 Bose 161s so it was the speaker not liking the Sewell, not something inherent with the Sewell. More sound than you'd expect for the size. Good mounting system. Designed to disperse sound widely, so not fussy about placement. Only accepts speaker wire as a connection. Passive speakers. 8 ohm impedance.
