![Parasyte: Parts One & Two [Blu-ray]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71s5Ug-fa1L.jpg)

"It happened suddenly. In the dark of night, a new species appeared, seeking hosts to occupy. But one of these small parasitic creatures…missed its mark. And in that moment, Shinichi Izumi’s life was forever changed. While others were completely taken over by these alien parasites, Shinichi managed to save his brain at the cost of his right hand. With no other option, he must learn to live with Migi, the parasite that failed to overcome him. While the two manage to coexist, the other parasites are only interested in one thing: devouring humanity. But some claim to be different. Ryoko Tamiya and her group say they seek a peaceful coexistence with humanity—for the sake of research. Yet, when one of her cohorts proves to have more deadly intentions, Shinichi realizes that there will be no peace until the parasites are destroyed. Determined to save the human race, Shinichi will fight the invading species—but at the cost of his own humanity." Review: Rather Well Done - Considering the film was based on the manga (ran from 1988 to 1995) and was condensed (as always) for anime form (See: Parasyte: The Maxim) (2014 to 2015) the adaptation does seem sound to me. WHOLE lots of ground to cram down and pare out in order to reach film run times. There have been changes (some slight for direction... ie: Shinichi's dad isn't in the film unlike the anime) but overall I found it to be a very enjoyable experience. Like the anime, the story has been broken up into (2) films. In this set (right for the money if you ask me) you get both and a digital code (as well as standard DVD for sharing! YAY!). Took me a bit used to getting used to Shota Sometani as Shinichi... then again you have to expect the real life to differ from the anime / manga (Still love though the spot on of Light Yagami being played by Tatsuya Fujiwara... who was also in both Battle Royal movies). So this is my 5 minutes of fame. Love it or hate it... it's up to you but personally... I REALLY liked the hell out of it! (Sadao Abe voiced Migi in the movie... and he did an awesome job!) Pick it up! Review: Perfect - Just what I ordered.

Worth the purchase!
Great movie! Followed the anime pretty accurately. Also loved the option to use the included code to watch it streaming (which I did since I have the Funimation app and a premium account). I definitely recommend if you like the anime.

Different
Parasites are taking over humanity. One of the invaders takes over one boy's hand but couldn't get more. The hand develops it's own identity along with special powers. Eventually they become friends and work together to try to save humanity. I liked the characters and the story. Recommended.

This IS English!!
I was so happy hearing about the collector's edition for this live action movie. The only problem is that this IS in English! It was not specified in the information area but I just want it to be known that this is in fact in English AND Japanese.
