Garden safe take root rooting hormone 2 oz. allows you to propagate new plants from your cuttings saving you money. Review: Works well in helping to get cuttings replanted and growing - I have had a positive experience with this, using it help get cuttings replanted and growing. I initially purchased it after watching several YouTube DIY videos about how to plant cuttings. Easy to use: dip the cutting in water, then dip it in the white powder, then plant it in the soil in a narrow, deep hole you've first created with a screwdriver or similar size tool (so the powder doesn't end up at the top rather than adhering to the bottom as you place it in the soil), then pack it with dirt. Note that it is poisonous, so wear gloves, keep it away from children and pets, and rinse down any powder remnants. Review: Good product. - Seems to work well so far.

Propagation success!
Works quite well and much less money than gel types. No complaints if used correctly.

Hoping for better luck next time
Strawberry crowns are notoriously difficult. I had them in water at first and they had minimal wilting. No root growth at all so I decided to try this. I also tried it on sage. I dipped them in the powder, shook off the excess powder and put them in soil. I had 3 strawberry crowns and 1 sage. Now, I have one strawberry crown left, so far no roots but I’m not sure that that one will even make it. Thankfully it’s still green. I will try the water method next time and hope for success! Update: I don’t see any difference, with or without the rooting hormone it still takes weeks to root. I really dont think it works 2nd update: I feel like it’s hit or miss with this powder. Works great on basil that roots in water. I’ve had success with a couple black raspberry plants in soil but otherwise, I feel like the coating is too thick despite shaking, tapping, and blowing off excess. I almost feel like it suffocates the cut ends and they slowly rot. No, my soil is not too wet. But this powder really doesn’t do it for me with soil rooting.
