Poodle Pet Water Feeder Bottle Container Dispenser for Cage or Kennel – Gravity Hydration Fountain with Spigot Spout for Dogs, Cats, Hamsters, Rabbits & Other Small Animals … (Crate Water Bottle)

I bought this water bottle for a large rabbit (size of small cat) that was emptying the guinea pig sized bottles several times a day. She also tended to chew the plastic bottles and rubber stoppers when bottles got empty. The bottle that came with the product was too small but thankfully (best feature IMO) the base has the common size and threading of plastic soda bottles which can be used in place of the included bottle. I am using a 14 oz soda bottle and it has worked well. Full bottle lasts until next day easily. The mounting bracket is also well designed. It mounts firmly to the cage but the base snaps easily on and off of the bracket for refilling the bottle. The bottle also sits far enough back on the bracket that rabbit can't touch it. This product has worked well for me but I can't speak to how it would work with other pets. It might still be a bit small for some dogs other than the miniature variety or puppies. The rabbit and I are happy with it, though. I didn't rate the durability since I have only had it a week but it seems sturdy and well made so far.

The bottle that comes with this unit can be replaced with larger water bottles sold for human consumption. We were lucky to find a bottle that had the same thread pattern so we don't have to refill it as often. Took our dog a short while to get used to the longer feed tube but in a day or two, it was a little different than the previous model we had. I also like that the mounting unit for the bottle attaches directly to the crate. I only have to unclip the bottle and snap it back into place on to the mounting unit- it all aligns very well. The old system had me inserting the feeder tube through the crate door and then hooking the bottle up. Easy to do on paper but I had problems lining things up sometimes and that caused the metal marble to be jostled a little causing leaks into the crate. Not earth shattering but it was annoying.

I have two small dogs using this. It's very easy to refill and put back on the holder. My dogs prefer it to their water dish. Because the water reservoir is so small, I'm guessing the producers simply expanded the market for their small mammal waterer to include small dogs. Still, I think it does a great job for what I need.

My dog struggles with water intake but luckily she does eat wet food. I thought this would be great for her while in the crate when I’m at work. Day 1: she drank some and I was super happy!! Day 2: the bottle was empty and I was doing flips for excitement. Only to discover that she just chewed some holes in it and it was drained smh. If the part for water to come out was made “differently”, I’d recommend but with lots of dogs being chewers, it’s a no go!

It works well, it screws on securely and it holds the water, one little tap and water is released. Only problem is my dog won't use it. I put some peanut butter on the tip so he would know when he licked it water came out but that freaked him out and now he's afraid of it. LOL but that is not the products fault, the product worked exactly as described. Great product silly dog.

12/12/19: These were made well with no leaking at all, and my dogs love them. I had purchased two and was very happy. Bought a third and it leaked. Exchanged it and the exchange leaks so I am done. It's being returned and I won't buy another. Such a shame. Something went wrong with their manufacturing process that doesn't seat the little ball forward enough so now they leak. I talked to CS but it's like talking to a wall. 5/10/19: Takes a bit of training, but once they get the idea it's perfect. ZERO leaking. Love this for my little guys! No leaking and my little guy can get all the water he needs now with this heatwave. He didn't get the idea at first so I put cream on the nipple which helped with figuring it out. Hopefully he will stop trying to chew the plastic attachment and only drink the water.

My golden doodle would splash in her waterbowl if I left one in her crate. We got her this and it has worked out great. I don't think she understands you are suppose to lick from it - she kind of gnaws at it - but hey if it works, it works. The good news is that this thing is super strong and holds up the gnawing. When filling it up for her, I didn't know at first that it easily clips off for refilling but that is a huge benefit of this water feeder bottle. I bought this when my dog was a puppy - so now that she is taking more water I probably need another. If you have a big dog - you probably will need 2 or 3 of these.

Best dog water bottle. Easy to remove and fill. Attaches from outside the kennel.

Good product. Easy to attach to the crate and no leaks. Happy with it.

Does what it says, but the cat hasn't needed to use it yet.

We have a dog with that medical condition. To him, drinking is a challenge, even if we raised his dish. So I decided to try this. Well it works so good I'm ordering one for the basement. Now our boy can drink with ease and not regurgitate. anything. He has to elevate his head which aids in bringing the water to the stomach. So glad it works!

Leaks into the bed 😐

Not very good for my Beagle he just pushed it off clamp not very secure would be ok for rabbits etc and small dogs it was worth a go
