Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) I own over 60 fragrances, including heavy hitters like Dior Sauvage Elixir, yet I find myself reaching for Swiss Arabian Tobacco 01 more often than almost anything else in my collection. It’s that good. From the first spray, Tobacco 01 delivers a smooth, sweet, and sophisticated blend of honeyed tobacco, warm amber, and a touch of spice. The opening feels rich and inviting—like walking into a room filled with pipe smoke, vanilla, and a hint of cinnamon. As it dries down, it becomes creamier and warmer, wrapping you in a cozy, slightly resinous sweetness that just feels luxurious. This is absolutely a cold-weather or nighttime scent. It shines when the temperature drops, projecting beautifully without being overwhelming, and it lasts all day on skin and even longer on clothes. AWESOME, AWESOME Men's scent! Starts with a long lasting sweet, very lightly smokey, then a quick, bitter tangy that lingers. I don't care for the bitter tangy, but the sweet, non overpowering tobacco and other notes balances it nicely. Just two quick sprays to the inner elbows, or the neck (or the inner wrists). Also, I did the same on part of my shirt... BUT, It smells much better over time on your skin, depending on one's skin type and chemical makeup. Oily skin holds fragrances longer; Dry skin: scents fade faster. I'm in between (I also apply a light moisturizer to my skin to help) so the scents last longer, say up to 8 hours... and yet, I get compliments long after that. My wife might be tempted to use this (as with some of my other 8 Swiss Arabian "Men's" EDP (Eau/Extrait de Parfums) sprays — but I think that's because most all of them are irresistibly attractive and she prefers and loves them on me. If you notice this SAME review for every other SA EDP I own, its because I LOVE EVERYONE OF THEM, though DISTINCTIVELY. Try them all. Remember, tastes (and scents) vary from person to person. You may only acquire a "taste" or a "nose" for one or more of Swiss Arabian's Men's colognes, despite even the best of reviews – or the worst (few) reviews. They're subjective, personal opinions. At nearly a fraction of most high-end costing brand colognes, you can hold your head high once you sense and smell how luxurious your choice of Swiss Arabian will be and you see how many compliments you get, unsolicited.

The easiest way to frame it is this: Tobacco 01 sits firmly in the Initio Side Effect lane. From the first spray, the resemblance is obvious. You get a rich tobacco and boozy sweetness that immediately calls Side Effect to mind. It opens warm and slightly intoxicating, with that signature sweet-dark aura that made the original so popular. As it develops, the differences start to show in a good way. The mid leans more heavily into tobacco, cinnamon warmth, and resinous sweetness, which gives it a slightly darker profile than Side Effect. The DNA is clearly there, but Tobacco 01 feels a bit more grounded and less glossy. The drydown is where it really comes together. You get vanilla, amber, and lingering tobacco richness, which creates that addictive warm sweetness people look for in this category. It stays smooth and dense without becoming overly syrupy. In terms of similarity, most impressions land in the “very clearly inspired” range. It captures the mood and structure of Side Effect extremely well, especially in the air. The original still has a smoother, more refined boozy nuance, but Tobacco 01 holds its own surprisingly well. One noticeable difference is emphasis. To my nose, Tobacco 01 leans: - slightly more tobacco-forward - a bit less glossy-boozy - slightly darker overall That actually makes it appealing if you like the Side Effect DNA but want something a little more grounded. Performance is another strong point. This is one of the reasons it gets recommended so often. Tobacco 01 gets close to Side Effect performance, with strong longevity and a solid projection window. It’s not always identical in power, but it’s much closer than most fragrances in this price tier. Stylistically, this is firmly in the warm, attention-grabbing category. It works best for: - fall and winter - nights out - date settings - colder weather environments - situations where you want a bold scent This is not subtle and not office-safe in most cases. Overall, Swiss Arabian Tobacco 01 succeeds because it respects the DNA it’s inspired by. It delivers that warm, boozy tobacco sweetness people love about Side Effect while adding a slightly darker tobacco emphasis and keeping performance strong. It may not fully replace the original for die-hard fans, but as an affordable interpretation that still feels rich and satisfying, it’s a very strong option.

Initial impression: Beautiful scent, a little like Initio Oud for greatness, plus TF Tobacco Vanille. Bright, warm fragrance. Excellent quality oils, beautiful presentation, cap clicks securely into place. Really good value for the money. Good sized bottle, feels great in the hand. My first Swiss Arabian fragrance, will definitely not be my last.

Be careful this is nuclear tobacco sweet but smell awesome if you like sweet tobacco recommend

It's not Tobacco perfume. It's heavy oud perfume. That's it. Very heavy dirty, dry oud. If you're looking for tobacco smell, look for it somewhere else.

Okay, kinda childish title, but DAMN! First off: This stuff IS beast mode! Now, I finally I know what that means. Do not spray more than (2) sprays, possibly only (1). It arrived and my first time trying it I did (3) sprays and am way over projecting. The fragrance/scent is fantastic. (Granted, my nose is yet untrained to fragrances) As time goes by, I will be able to give better 'Fragrance' reviews.

I am obsessed with this! The longevity is the best one I've seen so far on these arab perfumes.. A girlfriend from the office uses this and she smells amazing all day! Everytime she'd walk past me I could smell her, even at the end of the day. So I've brought this for my husband as its super unisex, and I will get to use it too hehe Smell wise, it definitely has an under note of tobacco, but it's hard to explain, because I hate the smell of cigarettes, but something about this just smells so oudy. It's a smell that you can't compare to no other though.. so unique! The packaging is also a huge bonus, it becomes a beautiful/expensive looking present with no extra cost, I actually have a bunch of the boxes laying around because I feel too bad throwing it away..
