I am so glad that I was able to buy this bed. It is perfect for caring for an ailing relative. All the height adjustments work super smoothly. My relative says the mattress is comfortable. We are blessed to have this bed. It goes down low enough for her to easily transfer from wheelchair to bed. It also raises high enough for me not to hurt my back bathing her. The head and foot also adjust. This bed has made caring for her so much easier. The bed seems well made and solid. The rails work easily and she said they make her feel safer. I did have to hire someone to put it together for me, but hey, I'm female and elderly myself. My assembly guys said it was easy to do.

My grandmother had knee surgery and have been using it for a yr and she loves it

This bed is extremely well made, very strong and will last a lifetime. The down side is that it is quite heay. We had to tip the delivery people to bring it up our driveway. The assembly instructions were clar and easy to follow, but we needed a few tools. It took two persons and adolly to bring it inside the house. My wife, who is bed-ridden, has been very comforatble and not complained. Her care nurse like ability to rais the bed to a convenient height. The motors run smoothly and can handle a heavy weight. The shipment on Amazon came directly from China via airfreight and by truck direct from the airport. THere were no import charges or paperwork, but these might start in the future. The shipping container was very strong wood/cardboard (well designed) and received no damage during shipment. From the photograph, the same bed was sold by other vendors at $300 to $600 higher price.

Purchased this for my elderly mother and needed to have it located in an upstairs bedroom. Paid extra for the "any room" delivery which was a big FAIL by Amazon as they couldn't even get it in the front door. Had some friends come by and help and we were able to do it and get it up the stairs with some effort. Very disappointed in that aspect of this purchase. But the bed itself is extremely sturdy, functional, and comes pretty much pre-assembled. The bed frame is made of metal and is heavy which is why it was difficult to get into the room. Once the headboard and footboard were added and the bed plugged in, it was ready to go. The motors work as expected and the control is pretty easy to operate. The mattress was a little bit of a concern but it turned out to be functional and comfortable. It is covered in kind of a vinyl shell which makes it easy to clean and liquid resistant if needed. The bed itself may be 8" off the ground at the lowest setting, but the mattress adds some height so I'd say it's still about 18-24" high at minimum. Overall it looks like a hospital bed and does the job well. Recommended.

Everybody that comes over to see my mother the first time is amazed she has a real hospital bed. They make a big deal out of how nice it is, too. It's quiet, you can raise the bed up or down and not wake her up. The mattress is very firm. We had to get a mattress topper to soften it up. The mattress is not sitting on springs. It sits on a flat surface. That means when she rolls over it's quiet. And no springs sticking you in the back. The wheels are big enough. When you lock them they stay locked until you unlock them. It's easy to clean. Even the mattress can be wiped down. It's way better than the cheaper ones. Well worth the extra money.

I have not transferred my mom to the Real Relax 5 yet, but was able to get it unpacked and set up and checked to make sure everything was working. Everything looks great. For those that are looking for more information on setup, specifically the wheels, I wanted to let you know that it was pretty easy. The bed box comes showing which side up but when you open it is upside down to allow you to install the wheels. The mattress is then on the very bottom which will provide a cushion to flip the bed on its side and then right side up. Ta da! Add the head and foot boards and all is good! I am lucky because my husband could handle the weight of the bed by himself. A very big help was paying the extra $20 to have Amazon delivery bring it in the house and room to be used! You will need a wrench for the wheels.

I bought the bed for my grandpa who couldn’t walk for a while. The bed made it easier to get him in and out of bed and the quality was really great. the green mattress it comes with is a little stiff but we bought an extra air mattress to go on top of it and it was comfy enough to sleep on. Really grateful for this product it made my families life easier.
