Naturalmente tutti i calcoli e statistiche presente in questo libro sono esclusivamente riferite al suolo americano ma, secondo il mio parere, questo non dovrebbe essere un motivo per scoraggiare l’acquisto ma anzi, alla fine dei conti, molti esempi citati si possono facilmente riflettere su uno stile di vita presente in larga quantità anche in Italia. In ogni caso con questo manuale riuscirai a capire come gira il mondo sentimentale in questo millennio e quali sono le strategie migliori da seguire per avere successo. Per quanto riguarda la lingua, è suggerito un livello di inglese pari a B2 o superiore, altrimenti vi ritroverete a cercare in continuazione la traduzione di parole o modi di dire poco comuni nel parlato inglese. In ogni caso, indipendentemente dal livello di inglese, la lettura è molto leggera e piacevole, nel giro di pochi giorni si riesce a leggere tutto il libro; consigliatissimo!

The book is incredibly small but good things come in small packages, right? Especially in this case. The book literally is , a book of numbers. A few graphs 📈 📊 on what to expect when pursuing women vs investing in stocks, crypto, etc. So, just now I finished it (July 28/22) and this is a great book with all the value among the reading with ease packed in. Didn’t know what to expect when buying Aaron’s book but was recommended by Rich Cooper and thought I’d give it a go, no regrets. Absolutely gold.

The results are in, pursuing women is as stupid as buying a lottery ticket. This book shows you the grim reality of the pursuit of women today and it backs it up with good stats and explanations. The average man will waste most of their life for a minuscule chance at a happy marriage. Clarey does a great job of showing his work and expounding on this premise. This book will save many lives. Pursue excellence, not women.

This is a very helpful book by an author who has a strong grasp of both the American dating scene, macroeconomics, and personal finances. He skillfully ties the three together in this essential read for all unmarried men who are still questioning whether they should try harder, stop trying, keep doing what they are doing, or take the leap to marriage. I would split the big into four main areas, all of which Clarey offers substantive thought: 1. The Numbers 2. The Calculations 3. Historical Context 4. How to Move Forward 1. The numbers are essential and very honest, for Clarey offers disclaimers and states assumptions throughout. He also cites his sources within the actual passages, rather than just at the end. 2. The calculations are the pinnacle to the book, since they are the first attempt to actually quantify this rather abstract albeit essential topic. Dating coaches, psychologists, family members, and religious leaders may offer some wisdom, but all of them do not offer the type of statistical calculations that Clarey offers. 3. Historical context. This is a very important part so that men can realize what the state of the world is. Take for example the portion of women who are overweight in the United States. In 1950, this "deal breaker" was hardly an issue. In fact, peer pressure from family, friends, and the opposite sex would act as a counterbalance to women who were not disciplined in their dietary and exercise habits. 4. How to move forward. Although the book is called "The Book of Numbers" this may be the most important component. Drawing upon philosophy, what matters in life, and the opportunity costs (both in terms of finances and times), Clarey presents some alternative activities that men can spend their time doing. Overall, this is a very thoughtful piece by a very thoughtful writer.
