This is a great lip gloss, because it goes on glossy (but not sticky) and smooth. The gloss does eventually go away but the stain remains. The pictures are right after application and then 4 hours and several hot drinks/ waters later. Good product, would buy again

Best value for money lip stain I've seen on the market- lots of product Note that colour is incredibly pigmented, rather than neutral, so ensure you pick the right colour before purchasing as does come out quite dark, particularly if lighter skinned like me. Admittedly I've found this can be mitigated by using a small amount and wiping off the residue after use. The stain lasts hours! And every time I go out, I receive compliments- the colour lasts all night with no budge after drying- would be perfect for clubbing, partying etc. alongside everyday use. So little need of a reapplication unless preference is for bold colour, which can easily be achieved through layering Texture is fairly thick, but glossy- a perfect middle ground, though due to amount of product, application could be messy Overall love this product but do wish there were some more neutral/subtle shades added to collection

This lip product is advertised as both a lip stain and a lip gloss. I mainly use it as a lip stain. When I’m getting ready in the morning, I apply it at the start of my makeup routine as a gloss. Once I’ve finished the rest of my makeup, I take a piece of tissue, press it against my lips, and then peel it off. This removes the glossy layer and leaves behind a strong stain. This means you don’t have to wait half the day for the gloss to wear off naturally. Living in England where it’s usually windy, and with long hair, wearing it purely as a gloss would mean my hair constantly gets stuck to my lips, which isn’t ideal. I find that it doesn’t last all day, but a quick reapplication after lunch is enough to get me through the day. I also like that the stain doesn’t dry my lips out. Because it’s meant to be hydrating, I don’t get the usual issue you get with typical stains, where dry patches stain darker and you end up with uneven, patchy lips. I haven’t had that problem with this product. The biggest drawback for me is the inaccurate images showing the shades on the listing. They are ok for the initial shade but once you get to stain stage…a bit off. I have tried three shades so far, and none of them match the stain colour shown in the listing images. The “Drippin Rose” shade, for example, comes off much much more magenta once it stains. Most images you will find online will show you the gloos + stain on the arm. Keep in mind that arm skin is different colour to your lips! Your lips will affect what stain shade you will end up with (see the images I included). If you don’t mind a bit of a guessing game, then you may enjoy trying this product. I also find I can layer shades — using one to stain and then going over it with another — to adjust the final colour using my method (gloss, press with tissue, stain with another shade, then press again). If you don’t mind experimenting a bit, you may just find your perfect shade at a really good price.

The shade was drippin nude, which is a great colour. Long lasting enough which gives a hydrating and plumping effect.

I have shiny, oily skin, so usually avoid lip glosses like the plague. However, I was desperate to find a decent lip stain that didn't cost £18+, so gave this a go. I bought the shade 'Drippin' in Rose', and it is genuinely fantastic! I am a complete convert and about to order some more colours to try. The gloss is actually lovely, smells nice, not sticky - more like a shiny cream finish, and really moisturising. I am a lip balm addict normally, but haven't used any AT ALL since starting to wear this! If applied liberally and left on for a bit, it happily wears/wipes down to a beautiful and very long lasting stain, that touches up really easily if you have eaten and drunk a lot. The second photo is after several hours of eating and drinking normally, and I don't even think the photo does it justice.

Unfortunately the shade I got (cocoa quench) looks really unnaturally orange on my skin :( (I'm pale olive, maybe it's nicer on other tones) However, it doesn't feel too heavy which is nice as I don't like the feel of lipgloss. The stain is actually really pretty but not at all the colour of the gloss, it's more a natural lip colour and the longer it's left on the more pigmented the stain. The stain holds pretty well once on so I think this product is just good for putting on at home in the morning just for the stain and taking off before you leave, but maybe it's prettier in other colours. Overall really sad that this didn't work as I hoped, the gloss colour is just horrible on me.

Couldn't quite give this a 5 star as it requires a lot of waiting and most times requires an additional layer to really see the difference. That being said, it does work and gives a nice subtle stain. I find most lip stains give a pinky stain and don't quite match their colour (the same can be said for the expensive ones). I don't know if that's something to do with my skin, though. When adding lip gloss the colour does pop! I've given a before and after photo. This is after 2 applications. First application was on for 20mins before wiping off, the second was on for 10mins. For those who like vibrant, loud, shiny lips, there is the added bonus of being able to wear this as a gloss without having to wipe the shine off. You can apply this and wear it as is and it'll leave you with the stain after the gloss wears off. My only issue with that is that the shiny gloss will transfer and, with it being a stain, I'd constantly be wary of how it might stain. But that's not an issue for me as I don't like thick bold layers on my lips, so the subtle stain is fine. I have all brands of stains (the "viral" Wonder one, Smooche, Sacheu, Beauty Crop). I have 3 of these NYX ones and, honestly, I would rate these as one of the lowest (on par with Beauty Crop), although Wonder is only scoring higher because it takes 2mins to stain, not 20! I actually don't rate the Wonder one much at all. These are still great stains, and ideal if you don't want to spend loads: - they stain - they last (although not as long as more expensive brands) - easy to apply - nice colours - pops with gloss - compact size for the handbag - doesn't dry out lips as much as others (Sacheu scores top marks for moisturising quality. Most stains do dry out lips. TIP: apply plain lip balm, after 10mins wipe off any excess balm and apply stain) Main con: wait time is too long to get a decent stain

Great lip stain without the dryness! Feels silky smooth and not sticky on the lips, will be trying other colours, this one was a a nice neutral even though it looks dark- it’s not
