Health Garden Organic Date Sugar 16 OZ (1 LB pack of 1). Review: This USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC date sugar contains only one ingredient; ORGANIC dried ground dates. That's it! It's low glycemic; meaning it will not spike blood sugar. It's ideal for baking. I use it as a replacement for sugar in recipes. You can also add it to oatmeal & smoothies, etc. Review: Love the product and gets me in trouble because I want to keep consuming but the sugar stops me. I think a little less sugar would be better for me.

I use this to bake as I don't eat sugar. This says sugar, but it's ground dried dates. Quite sweet. It won't dissolve in liquid but works great in baking and most cooking. Sometimes it's a bit lumpy in the package so I give it a quick spin in my small food processer. Consistently good.

It's a little lumpy & the lumps don't break up easily, but I sprinkle it on buttered toast & the little unconquered chunks turn out to be welcome bursts of sweetness. Not so great in coffee - it just can't tame that aggressive coffee flavor.

In the picture are hot sweet potatoes with cinnamon & the date sugar. As you can see, it just sits on top of the food & doesn't dissolve like sugar would. It isn't very sweet, doesn't even really taste as sweet as a date would if eaten whole. I've not tried it in baking yet I'm thinking maybe banana or zucchini bread I'll update when I try it for now, not sure I'd buy again. Definitely not as a sugar/sweetener replacement but perhaps just for a topping with a bit of fiber and vitamins.
