I use it for my small plastic tool box. Locking and unlocking the tool box with a lock and key each time I use it can be annoying. So I use the quick release pin instead. The pin is strong enough to hold the tool box.

Great improvement over my warn out cotter pins for my bimini boat top. These actually anchor themselves with springs so they don’t slip out. So strong I can attach my morning fender to them now.
