Good Idea, Poorly Executed
I actually think they are on the right track, but their product isn't designed well. Despite the poor reviews I decided I wanted to try it myself. Here are the reasons why I regret buying it, and would advise anyone to not buy it either: 1) The product doesn't work. The tongue strap is supposed to prevent your tongue from falling backward, but you can easily slip your tongue out. In my experience, Zyppah immediately failed at the primary function of this mouthpiece. 2) My teeth easily come out of the mold, which is supposed to advance your lower jaw. One may ask why not use a chin strap to hold your mouth closed? Try it yourself. It sounds nice in theory but in practice it doesn't work that well. 3) My teeth really hurt in the morning when I did happen to keep my teeth in the product. Relying on your teeth to advance your jaw sounds like a bad idea to me. It's the same concept of having orthodontics, eventually your teeth will move. I had braces and head gear...for the purpose of moving my teeth. The Zyppah mouthpiece hurts just as much. 4) It's over priced. Definitely not worth $100. 5) No customer support. I contacted the company about these issues and they never replied to me. 6) This company can't be trusted. On Amazon.com they have more 1-star reviews than any other. But on their website they have over 1,000 4 and 5-star reviews with only one 1-star review, and nothing in the middle. If you have a bad product, at least stand by it. This dishonesty is misleading people into believing that it works to profit. It's the definition of fraud.

Works well.
This does what it says. It does stop my snoring almost completely, but I have to wear a chin strap to keep my mouth from opening when I sleep. It does take some time to get used to it. It feels like wearing braces when you first start wearing it. I was concerned about the alignment of my teeth because I had braces a few years ago and still have a permanent lower retainer installed. I have had no lasting issues with my teeth. My teeth are sore for a little while in the morning after first taking out the Zyppah. The soreness is a lot less noticeable after using it for a while. It does set your jaw forward to help prevent snoring but the jaw being set forward does last and affects my bite and the way I eat. My front teeth meet and my rear molars do not meet which makes chewing food a little difficult but it is manageable. The trade-off is worth it to stop snoring. When I don't use it I don't rest well and I still snore. When I don't use it my wife tells me to use it. It has held up well and there are no issues with construction. I do use mouthwash before I remove it to keep it clean and prevent it smelling like bad morning breath. Before I started using mouthwash with it in my mouth, it would start to smell after removing it. Overall, I am happy with it. I was recommended to try using this by a sleep specialist doctor to prevent sleep apnea. I did not want to have to use a CPAP machine.

Premium price with sub par quality...
Let's be clear. I wanted to give a feedback greater than 1 star, but the cost and timeline will not allow. I purchased the Zyppah mouthpiece November 2019. I didn't tell my wife who desperately needed it to work in an attempt to see if she notices a difference. She didn't say anything, but was sleeping back in our bed and she was not tapping, hitting, or nudging (waking) me any longer! I guess it was working.?! What's great about the mouthpiece is the fact that it pulls the mandible (jaw) forward and holds the tongue in place. What's terrible about the mouthpiece is the fact that it pulls the mandible (jaw) forward and holds the tongue in place. After using the mouthpiece for one day, my jaw and bottom front teeth were so sore that I had to put my Philips Sonicare toothbrush on the low/sensitive setting and turn down the water intensity on my Waterpik. I typically read a lot of reviews before purchasing anything, which is why I was not alarmed after the pain. I continued to use in hopes that the pain went away. Although the pain did not go away, it did subside and become manageable enough to want to continue using. The website says, "With normal use, your Zyppah should be replaced every 3-4 months. If you grind your teeth, you may need to replace it more often." The self-molding material is great at first because its sticky, which helps keep the mouthpiece in place while you sleep. As time goes on, the self-molding material pulls away and up from the corner edges where the tongue strap is located. The tongue strap also stretches over time and does not hold the tongue in place as well. I remolded the mouthpiece several other times in an attempt to make the mouthpiece more comfortable or reattach the self-molding material. This worked for a short period of time, but I found myself needing to do this every couple of weeks. Before I forget, you will drool A LOT! Unless you can manage to keep your mouth closed the entire night, its going to happen. I typically do not drool while I sleep so it was extremely alarming to wake up in the middle of the night with what felt like a pool of saliva on my pillow. Grossed out, I flipped my pillow over and went back to sleep. The next night I changed my pillow cases and wrapped my pillow in two towels to help absorb the pooled saliva. Initially I overlooked all the issues I and many others had because I and my wife was in fact sleeping better, but the mouthpiece needs to be upgraded with better quality materials and details to the self-molding material. For the $99.95 price tag, I believe the company can do a better job with the mouthpiece materials and construction. Knowing there is a market of desperate people needing snoring relief, but putting out a device that lasts only 3-4 months top at a premium price tag ($400-$300/year) says a lot about the company. I almost purchased another mouthpiece after mine lasted 2 months before my wife started nudging me due to snoring, but I decided to research some other devices. I don't mind spending a premium on a product that works well, lasts, and is made well, but the Zyppah mouthpiece fails on 50% of my criteria.

It works but has its drawbacks. 3 days later, my jaw hurts!
Night 1... 1st: the mouth peice is definitely small. I bought the green/grey assuming it was sized for men... its jist as small as the pink one i ordered and returned... my molars hang off the back but it still holds in place. 2nd: it works! My snoring progressively got worse over the past couple years and is now really bad! I know because my wife was kind enough to record me without my consent, and replay it for me... IT WORKS!!! My anoring stopped. First try. 3rd: it doesnt really hold down your tongue, but it pulls your bottom jaw forward, and opens your airway. It does this by alighning the mouth peice in a way that forces you yo push your jaw forward to get your top teeth into the tray... downside to this... my jaw was freakin sore, to the point that it woke me up because i had to remove and stratch my jaws. 4th: another review said you have to sleep with your mouth shut for it to work... i dont know how/why you would because A. The mouthpiece separates your jaws and itd be hard to keep your lips shut. And B. The whole point is to open your airway, so why would you close your mouth? And 5th: drool, swallow, or drown... pick one. Despite what the instruction manuel lamely says, your brain is not "telling your mouth to salivate because there is food in your mouth." (Who TF approved that claim?) You're drooling because your mouth is open. So let it flow, see if you can swallow with a mouthpiece in your mouth ( good luck), or just see if you dont drown in your own saliva. Bottom line... it works. But not without its drawbacks. Knowing what i know now, 100bucks is steep for the discomfort level. But on the flip side, 100bucks is worth not having the wife nag in the morning about my snoring. As the saying goes... inconvenienced husband = happy wife. NIGHT 2 AND BOYOND!!!. I CAN'T! MY JAW FEELS LIKE MIKE TYSON PUNCHED ME!!! I don't have an overbite, but the way the mouthpiece pulls my jaw forward from 2 consecutive nights, has taken 2 additional days to subside. I wore it for 2 nights and had to stop. so that makes today the second morning since i last wore it and my jaw is still a bit sore.

Good idea. Didn't work for me.
I purchased the device with high hopes after watching the video on their website. I found the device to be constructed well, the instructions are clear, and molding it to my teeth was easy. But the amount of molding material didn't seem enough to keep my teeth from rubbing on the hard plastic shell. I tried it anyway and it fell out of my mouth the first night. I tried it the next night with a chin strap. It still fell out. I remolded it a second time thinking it might help. Although the material became soft again I found that it did not cover my teeth adequately. Rubbing against the hard shell was worse and it still fell out even with a chin strap. During the last night I tried the device I experienced difficulty swallowing while trying to fall asleep. I realized the tongue strap on the device inhibited my normal ability to swallow. This caused me to choke a little and I become quite anxious. This time I spit the thing out. No more for me! I'm just glad I bought it from Amazon. Returning the device isn't a problem.

The only product on the market that really works for me, but with one critical and important flaw!
I'll start by saying that I have tried four or five different brands of this kind of anti-snore nightmouthpiece. And I finally came back to this one because quite honestly it just works better than anything else, at least for me! And that's important to note because I think that based on what's triggering your snoring, where exactly you're snoring is emanating from, and the size and shape of your mouth and tongue position, will determine which product is going to work best for you. I'm not a doctor, and I don't even play one on TV! So all I can say is that this product works really well for me, and that strap in the back that keeps your tongue down and forward is the real difference Maker. My only complaint, and it is my biggest complaint and a valid one, is that the material that it's made from, that you imprint your teeth into, is not high quality. And that's why I didn't go back to this immediately after my first one. It starts to break down really quickly. I have had others that use what appears to be a more siliconized product. That is very durable and long-lasting. In this case the material is not durable. And I blew the back side of it out after about 3 months. My gut is that's intentional; it's like old American cars. They were only built to last 5 years so that you had to buy a new car every 5 years. I say that, not as an expert, but that's just my own suspicion. Because it's not a flattering thing for me to say, and it does intimate some level of devious deception on the part of the manufacturer. But I can't explain otherwise why they would use such an inferior product at such an important contact point in the product. My advice to the manufacturer, cut it out and replace that funky green crap with what the other manufacturers are using. I've got three others in my nightstand that I spent more than 6 months to a year using, that are still like the day I'm molded them.

Cheap Overpriced Product Scam
I tried out 4 of the most popular brands on Amazon. Not only is this cheaply the most expensive it is by far the most cheaply looking and build. You better have a child’s mouth as no way this fits in the average adult mouth rendering it useless. No way to adjust it and the claim stopping your tongue from slipping back does little to solve retrictive airway issues which is the root cause of apnea and snoring. My bad, at $99 i thought the manufacturer like everybody else in this category would stand behind the product and accept returns. They don’t I should’ve looked further, but that says a lot so stay away. Try the better brands that accept returns and will allow you to mold and adjust the device to fit your mouth. Cheaply packaged no instructions whatsoever. This is all you get. Having been in the business of designing plastics modeled devices, slicone and plastics combos cost more to manufacture. My guess this cost $2.00 to make.

What’s most important is the energy I have the next day.
I have sleep with a mouth device for over 25 years. The zyppah is by for the best one. It’s not the cheapest but it works the best. It has a tongue guard that is a little uncomfortable at first but it is what makes it the best device I’ve had. It holds the zyppah in your mouth. And within a few days you don’t even realize it’s there. What’s most important is after a nights sleep with the zyppah you feel better and have a lot more energy. Plus your bed partner allowing you to sleep in your own bed is a big plus. Good nights sleep, lots of energy, and happy bed partner could mean a lot more fun in bed. Just saying! Heck you might want to buy 2 or three of them in case the dog gets a hold of yours. I’ve had that happen and was so glad I had bought two Zyppahs.
