What is meant by "smaller" and "larger"? Is it referring to width of the separator or height?

For the toe separators with loops the 'Small' and 'Medium' size have the same width (part between the toes) but the 'Medium' size is taller and a little deeper than the 'Small' size to accommodate larger toes. My hammer toe bends up and hits the top of my shoe. Will these provide some relief from the bend up?

I have the same hammertoe problem and I ordered toe tubes from Amazon / they come in different sizes and the inside of them are gel so very soothing- you can cut them to length to fit your toe comfortably and cover the top of your hammertoe to relieve discomfort when it hits the top of your shoe. My bunion and hammertoes have worsened over the years so finally decided to bite the bullet and get the surgery done in the next couple of months. have been dreading it but the pain now is pretty close to unbearable. Good luck with the toe tubes - they’re a tremendous help!
