I bought this for VUDU disc to digital and it works great. There are some movies that cannot be transferred to digital due to licensing to let you know. This will not play BluRay on your computer unless you have a program to run it. I have tried to find a free one but have been unsuccessful so far.

The quality of this product looks good and feels solid. It downloads discs at a good speed and is really quiet. I do amateur photography and it wrote pictures at good quality to a dvd at a good speed. So far no problems and i have downloaded probably around 50 cd's now between music and audio books.

Received this drive poorly packed by Amazon. It arrived in a bubble-wrap envelope. Yes, they sent it in an envelope. Regardless, the drive did not work. Will power up, but will not connect to any of my Windows 7, 8.1 machines. Merely a shell of a useful device.

Great product to have!! I have a disc drive but it does not read blurays so I purchased this so I could upload my movies to VUDU. It did not come with instructions so it took me a few minutes to figure out I had to use both cords (enclosed) to get the bluray part to work. I love having it!

Arrived on time, in great shape, and works fine (reason for 2 stars), but does not i repeat does not play blu ray as advertised.

Having read previous reviews, I knew that I would need to find software/drivers, I would suggest Leawo Blue-Ray Played (it is free, but seems to be a bit of a resource hog.) LVC is also free, but it requires you to DL a dll file and some "Keys". Google LVC PLAY BLUE-RAY" and you will find link and instructions. Once these were installed even my 9 year old laptop (running Windoze 10) could play blue-ray discs. Performed even better than advertized, might just buy acouple for Christmas presant. '

Other posters are saying that this product makes some noise. While there is a little bit of noise to it, this would really only be a problem if you were watching it with your computer using only your computer speakers. If you were using headphones, no problem. If you had your computer hooked up to your TV and are sitting five or ten feet away, no problem. Also, for some reason, it wouldn't play my Beatles 1+ blu ray. However, all of the other discs I've tried have worked. Before getting this product MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOFTWARE THAT WILL PLAY BLU RAY DISCS. For $35, you really can't beat it. I really enjoy this product.

I bought this for a specific purpose, ripping my blu-ray discs with MakeMKV and putting the ripped movie and extras in Plex. It worked perfectly on the movies I have ripped so far. I didn't have to install any additional software for my iMac (10.10.4) to recognize the drive. I also only need to use one of two included USB cables.

Hi, I bought that blu-ray device. I've managed to watch only 3 movies, and since then it does not do absolutely anything when I connect it to my pc.

The blu ray player is not useable on my computer because it looks like that I need a software. Could anyone help please?

Works fine. But you need to remember to plug in both USBs and download the VLC Media Player software, so then you can play DVDs, etc
