Every page is packed with exam-relevant material based off the ABR study manual. β Perfect for Core prep β Whether youβre reviewing early or cramming last-minute, this book keeps you focused and efficient. Still the gold standard
Still the gold standard. Updates scattered throughout, most notably in the MSK and Neuro chapters. Really nice updates specially in the shoulder stuff and normal pressure hydrocephalus discussion. Also some nice updates in mammo - specifically useful on the BR6 gamesmanship. Cover art amazing as always

Crack the Core makes radiology less painful β the humor keeps me awake, and somehow I actually remember more. It feels like studying with a sarcastic friend who also happens to know all the boards questions.

Crack the Core is a good book with helpful topics. Itβs especially effective for reinforcing key concepts and simplifying complex material, making it easier to review during intense study periods. The informal tone helps keep things engaging, and the high-yield format is great for quick recall. That said, you really need to have the core concepts down first. This isnβt a book for building foundational knowledge, itβs more of a rapid review tool. Some sections are overly condensed, while others could be more compact and better organised. The books are also quite bulky and could benefit from tighter editing. The second volume includes MSK, Neurology, Vascular, IR and Mammo.
