Easy to learn and play
Had played this with a friend and knew I needed a copy for my collection. This is fun to play even if you aren't a Dexter fan. The characters are all picked from episodes of the show, but you need not have seen a single episode to enjoy the game. In the game, you are all Dexter- aka the serial killer- and you're trying to complete your murder and dispose of the body without getting caught. You must race through a series of tricky one way only lanes, hunting for your victims and the necessary weapons to kill them. There are times you wind up going in circles, and if you make the wrong decision, you could be trapped in a long loop for many turns. This game is more fun with multiple players, but can be played with just 2. There is a fair amount of strategy (navigating through the board efficiently, choosing who you should pursue and weighing the benefits of purposely blocking your opponents...) combined with a little bit of luck (curse the Dexter who successfully picks up all their weapons in the first hardware stores they visit!). The game takes usually about an hour to play and is very easy to learn and set up. Replay value is better than Clue, since there are more character and weapon combinations.

If you love Dexter....
Regardless of whether you find playing this game fun (which I did!) it is one of the most beautifully made board games I've seen. The cards and pieces seem high-quality and the board itself is very beautiful and VERY large, which is fun. The pawns themselves are a little boring, but they work. The game itself has the feel of a backwards "Clue" (working to BE the killer rather than find the killer!). The gameplay doesn't exactly have a smooth pace, which isn't too big a complaint for a board game made after a TV show (made after a book). And it's not a trivia game, if that's what you're after. The complexity of the board movement does distract a bit from the actual gameplay, and the rules aren't always as specific as you might need them to be, but it's fun nonetheless. Especially because the first time we played, I was the winner! :)

Best Board Game for the Dexter Lover!
Ordered this game for a Christmas present on the 20th of December (last minute, I know...) and got it the day after with some great expedited shipping! Love love LOVE it! We haven't had time to put it away since we got it, because we keep playing it! Friends and family that watch Dexter (and even those who don't) love the game as well! It says only 4 players maximum can play, but if you find other pieces there is no reason you can't have more people play! Super fun, kinda dark, not for kids, but great for adults' game nights! A little bit of strategy and a lot of luck makes this game great! The best part is that every player gets to be Dexter Morgan! I recommend this product to every Dexter/board game lover out there!

Fun game although the rules
Fun game although the rules, as they are, make it pretty difficult (and long) to finish. We usually end up tweaking the rules just little bit to make the game finish in a reasonable amount of time. Also, being only a 4-player game makes it a less likely choice for game night.

Highly Satisfied
First of all it came in, in a very reasonable amount of time. The game is not very hard to figure out, it does take a bit longer than the game predicts, but it's worth it. Especially enjoyable by fans of the show, but still attractive to non fan players. It can be a bit frustrating if you cannot find what you need or land where you need to. Lots of drama and betrayal between players, but tons of fun. In a nutshell it's the reverse of playing Clue.

Good... May get better with a few more plays.
An original game that includes lots of features from the show's first 5 seasons. I was pretty excited when I received it as I'm a HUGE Dexter fan. I was a little disappointed to be honest. The game has a steeper learning curve than most games and may be better when played with more that 2 people but I will give it a few more goes and hopefully we learn to love it. Edit: Played a few more times and still not a big fan. Sticking to the old classics and will pull this out when we have fellow Dexter fans over. Reduced to 3 stars.
