Incredible device!
I love this device. The built-in self calibration and the big screen make this my favorite new instrument. I also love that you can save all settings as template, so easy to jump back and all markers and trace configurations are ready to make a measurement.

Great piece of test equipment for the price
This compares very well to my much more expensive benchtop spectrum analyzer. It is very impressive to get frequency range up to 7.3 GHz for the low price. It is sensitive enough to see lots of radio stations with a tiny antenna. The touch screen interface works well, especially with the "guitar pick" they provide. I do wish they had a 7" screen version.

Greatest tool since sliced bread.
Lots of videos on line to learn with.

New and improved. Sweet!
The ZS-407 is an impressive upgrade and improvement over the previous model (which I owned 2 of). Although advertised to cover the 100kHz-7.3GHz RF spectrum range, I had no problem observing what I believe to be StarLink Space-to-Earth (Downlink) transmissions with the 10.7-12.7 GHz range (see accompanying photo of a portion of this range, a peak hold spectrograph which I ran for a while until it was completely filled out). The noise levels have noticeably been reduced. The battery life seems significantly improved, even with the display brightness set to the default 70%. The touch screen seems more responsive. It seems to work just as well without the tiny antenna attached as it does when attached. I won't elaborate on the all improvements, as the online wiki manual covers it all. Read the manual to learn of them all. While I have some practical use for this device, I'm finding it fun to play with as much as a video game. Instead of hunting enemy solders on a battle field, I'm hunting for their radio transmissions within the RF spectrum, LOL.

Thank you.

Good basic SA, but has limitations.
This is a nice simple basic SA, but the slow sweep speed is a definite limitation, particularly if you are looking for periodic transmissions. I wanted to check some telemetry systems that operated in the 2.4 GHz range, but I didn't know the exact frequency. The rep rate is fairly slow, so the slow sweep of the SA often does not capture the transmission. For things like spectral analysis of transmitters, it is a nice piece.

The best!
Simply the Best Mini ever!

Size screen and working frequency span.
Know the measurements of the unit. Both length hight and with. Plus the screen diagonally. You can't make a correct judgment other wise. And if you have trouble seeing the numbers You should show the comparisons between the two. Last thing I noticed is the larger one only goes up to 5.3 Ghz. We're the smaller one goes to 7.3. I found most of this in on YouTube. ..

Legit and cool
Cool device that operates up beyond 6ghz (some people claim 10-12ghz but I haven't tried that) Interfaces with PC, Linux or Mac apps for bigger display and extra functionality. Kudos to Erik and the other folks who made this OpenSource gem of a design. Flashed this with latest software and ran self-test. Seems to be legitimate as it's passing. Check out TinySA Wiki for more info about these devices and their fake clones.
