I bought this after loosing my favorite water bottle. I didn't think that I would like this one as much, but needed something until I replaced the one I loved. I love this one so much more! Keeps my water cold, and the best thing is it has rubber coating on the base so that it doesn't clink when I put it down on my desk! Not terribly heavy to carry it around town, but definitely big enough to take out anyone following me down a dark alley. No strange pieces that don't clean by hand, we don't have a dishwasher, so can't speak to that, but it's pretty simple and easy to open! Does require you to pull the spout open, so not good for anyone that needs ease of use, has chronic pain in your hands. A button press option would be a better idea.

I bought one for myself to replace an old Eddy, and I loved it. I had ice water all the time! Then my younger son “stole” it because he was jealous of my cold water bounty, and he kept it in his room, so I got another one for myself. My older son “stole” that one! I relented and bought two more, one for my husband (to ward off future theft) and one for me. There’s something about the bite valve that really gets you to drink a lot more water than you would if it was just in a cup, and the insulation works very well. Ice water from the evening will still have ice in it come morning. The new design that covers the bite valve when the bottle’s not in use is helpful. I think the cover will help keep the bottle leak proof longer. It doesn’t fit in a standard car cupholder the way a huge cup with a narrowed base does, but they make adapters that do fit this bottle, and the cold retention and bite valve make it much better for hydration than a cup. We’ve taken ours on long car trips, to the beach, for hikes and day trips. They’re heavy, but the extra weight is worth it, and they don’t sweat, so you can stick them in a backpack with your gear and nothing will get wet.

The Upside: The quality is excellent, it’s very easy to clean, and I love the color. The Downside: The bottle is a bit too large for standard car cup holders, and if the straw isn’t locked shut, it can leak. Overall, despite these small flaws, I still really enjoy using this bottle. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for something durable and user-friendly.

Big camelback user, hated their bite-valves! I used to rip those tips off and just drink with the attached straw. This model doesn’t have a bite valve and it’s easy to drink yet when shut absolutely does not leak!! Holds a lot of water, keeps it cold all day, and does not leak when closed. Love the rubber bottom too — doesn’t ding

I had been using a Stanley IceFlow Flip Straw Tumbler for a while. After about 2-3 months it started to leak rather badly even if I closed the drinking part all the way down and tight. Went looking for another water btl with a straw as I prefer those, esp for while driving vs needing to tilt your head so far back out of a spout. Long story short settled on this Camelback btl. The good is it does NOT leak at all. Also such a small touch but I love how the bottom has some soft silicone under it and also protects the bottom sides just like an 1/8th inch up the btl, but a nice touch. Love the color...got it in yellow it's almost EXACTLY the same color as my Stanley yellow. The bad or flaw? Every time you open the spout it will splash a "very little bit" of water out. I happen to be treating a small eye infection at this time so I am even more sensitive to the TINY splash of water that will spray to your face or eyes each time you flip the spout open. It's not a HUGE big deal as you can simply make sure the spout is slighly off angle to your face but it's kind of a DUMB dersign that water will splash you, and again it's VERY little. Also and maybe this would be with any btl that uses silicone...it had a strong taste of rubber or silicone for several days...now it's fine. Lastly, I am not in neeed of a btl that keeps your water cold 24 hours..but I feel since rhe lid is a very light plastic..it likely won't keep liquids quite as cold as some of the others with heavier or more insulated lids. In short I DO like the btl...but that one flaw of getting sprayed almost every time you open the spout is a pain or can be...its' also though a very smart lip in that is does not leak AT ALL. I dunno...no bottle is perfect I guess...I give it a solid 4 stars...

Great water bottle. I love the silicone bottom it has saved the bottle from damage when I dropped it.

Works as well or better as any of my camelbak bottles, love the way the flip straw is covered. Been using for months, & No leaks! Keeps my water cold for hours & hours. Highly recommend.

Been using this for a few months now and it's rock solid. Doesn't drip, and it'd eben knocked around a fair bit yet still hasn't had any of the black paint come off, which was very surprising! Probably doesn't keep thigns as 'cool' for as long as I'd like, however I've never had an issue of coming back to this after ay being left in a hot car or in the sun and the water being 'too warm', so it definitely does a fairly good job at insulating. I'd buy it again if I ever lost it!
