Restoring vehicles is one of my hobbies, so I’ve tried my share of rust removers over the years. Some promise a lot and deliver very little. Cleaned up some rusted parts quickly and effectively, just removed the surface rust and didn’t damage unaffected areas. There is no scent or odor which is a big plus. Cleaning it off parts is as simple as washing said part in water.Only thing to be careful of is once you remove a part, it will flash rust if not completely dried and or protective coating applied within 30 minutes.

I've used this on a rusty motorcycle tank and a kitchen tool. Both were successfully removed of rust. The non toxic and reusability is wonderful. Very happy.

After reading reviews here, I purchased a gallon to resurrect rusty tools and reloading dies, some pretty far gone. Used a small foil pan to soak two handfuls of parts for maybe four hours at most. They are all clean and free from rust. Also used a steel brush to remove blemishes. This product works very well, recommended!

The evapo rust great when it is fresh. I put about 10 wrenches in a aluminum pan and filled it just past the top of the wrenches. The wrenches were not overly rusty. Just a few spots on most of them. The product worked great and took about 24 hours to work completly. Which I have no problem with. What I do have a problem with is that after those 10 wrenches the solution was pretty much pitch black. I put another 10 wrenches in it and it seemed to not do anything at all. Not very long lasting especially considering I paid almost $40.00 for the gallon and used about a third of it just on the 10 wrenches.

We have an old metal lamp that was rusty. It belonged to my husband’s grandfather. This product got rid of all the rust and it looks great. Works just like advertised. Also cleaned some tools.

This stuff works really well on surface rust.I’ve used it, and reused it, and it does a great job of converting (or removing? Not sure which) rust.It takes a while (I’ve left pieces in it overnight) but it’s well worth it. I bought a small container initially but bought a larger size because it’s so good.It obviously can’t fix severely corroded metal, that’s not what it’s for.

I've been working on restoring motorcycles in my spare time for a number of years and watched a lot of youtube videos of folks using MetalRescue, electrolysis, vinegar and then, for some reason, I stumbled upon a video of EvapoRust. I'd never heard of it. I thought maybe it was a knockoff of MetalRescue as it was $10 cheaper for a gallon. I thought it probably wouldn't work as well as the videos I've been watching but found $17 a gallon a little easier to part with.Well let me tell you I've been dipping motorcycle parts in there with the rubber still on them, stickers on them, paint on them, chrome on them. This stuff leaves all that alone and takes the rust right off. Places where the paint has been chipped or flaked off and replaced with rust was right down to bare-a@$ metal. Unbelievable. I've used this gallon multiple times and while it's still working I'm thinking it may be time for a fresh batch. I've used this on a corroded-as-all-get-out battery tray, coil bracket, bolts, screws, headlight shell, side covers, even a seat pan! That's a lot for one gallon to handle and it's still going. I want to do a tank so I think the extra gallon will help with coverage. I don't know if they have a 5 gallon bucket but that might be the way to go.Originally this stuff was sort of a light iced-tea color, it has darkened considerably since, I imagine that's the iron content in the water, it's definitely a darker brownish red at this point. I'm pretty careful to let it sit for a while before I pour it back into the original jug and I let all the grit sit at the bottom to get rinsed down the sink. This stuff has a smell to it that is pretty low-key, non toxic... almost like soap. I find the more I use it the less I look forward to that smell though. Small price to pay.Once the stuff has been removed from the solution I run it under my faucet with hot water. I use a brush or my thumb to brush away the dark residue and I'm left with a nice, even, grey metal color that takes a swipe or two with some 00 steel wool to put a little shine on. I hit it with some matte clear coat and install on the bike. Oh, one other thing. I was really worried about flash rusting. It hasn't been a problem yet and some of my pieces I've left for two days after treatment. I find that if I rinse with REALLY hot water it tends to evaporate rather quickly and there's nothing left on the metal to rust. Granted it's winter and the air is very dry. I may have different luck in the summer but right now I'm loving it. This stuff is amazing. It seems to leave the metal with a rough texture (hence the 00 steel wool) but I think that's because of what the rust has done to the original surface. Like I said, one or two swipes and I actually get it to shine. If you don't want the shine, don't steel wool it.

国内品色々試してましたが、綺麗に錆びが落ち切らず何度も漬け置きしたり、酸・アルカリの刺激臭・異臭がしたり、直接触れない物だったりと扱いが面倒なの上に、錆びが落とし切れず結局後で散々研磨したりしていました。Evapo-RustははYoutubeのHand Tool Rescueという古い工具をレストアするチャンネルで使用されており、綺麗に錆が落ちていたので試しに購入してみました。赤鯖だらけになったネジやに黒錆になっているドライバやニッパとかの工具を試して見ましたが数時間～二晩漬け置きしておけば殆ど錆が落ちます。動画で見た通りの使用感でした。酷い錆は錆びてた箇所に若干シミが残りますがワイヤーブラシで磨けば落ちる程度だったので試してはいませんが漬けて置く時間をもっと延ばせば落ちるような気がします。液は酸やアルカリを含まないので素手で触れても大丈夫です。匂いはちょっと癖のある薬品臭がしますが私はそれ程嫌な臭いには感じませんでした。同社のジェルタイプも同時購入して使用しましたがこっちの方は液体の匂いを濃縮したようなキツイ匂いです。ジェルタイプはアルミの錆にも使えるのと大きくて漬け置き出来ない物や垂直面に塗っても垂れにくく、効果は液体タイプと遜色ありませんでした。液体・ジェルタイプどちらも水洗いしただけでは金属光沢までは蘇らず表面にうっすらとくすんだ膜みたいな物が形成されているので、水洗いして乾燥させた後にワイヤーブラシ等で軽く磨いてやる必要はあります。漬け置き後に水洗いしなければくすんだ膜が防錆剤としての効果を維持してくれる様です。ルーターに真鍮製のブリストルブラシやカップブラシを付けて軽く磨く程度で楽に金属光沢が出てきます。値段は高めですが一回使用の使い切りでは無く、錆落としの効果が無くなるまで繰り返し使用が可能なのでトータルで見ればコスパは良いと思います。大き目のジャムの空き瓶に小分けして繰り返し使用してます。使用する度に液はだんだん錆び色に濃く染まりますが、数回程度使用した位では効果が薄れたような感じは全くありませんでした。

I don't know why this gets good reviews. We cleaned the items of the surface rust and placed them in a container and filled it with this product. Left it for 14 hours and noticed the liquid had turned black. Thinking it had worked we removed the items to find they were still rusty. This was just small surface rust not deep corrosion. Tried a second time.l and it was still the same.

I tried many old remedies to get rid of rust in motorcycle gas tanks, and none of them worked as well as this product! Don't waste your time, get a couple of jugs of this and clean your tank that way. Yes I know it's expensive, but you get what you pay for, and you can use this stuff over and over again. I wouldn't use anything else now. I also put my old rusty nuts and bolts in there and it brings them up like brand new for when I need to go through my miscellaneous drawer and find a bolt or a screw here or there. I even put tools in it to get rid of some light rust on them. Highly recommended.
