Sistema Microwave Collection Breakfast Bowl, 28.7oz./850ml, Red

I use this to cook my morning Old Fashioned Oats at the office. Works like a charm at 70% microwave power for three minutes. I have to be careful though because if I cook them too long oats will shoot out the vent and create a disaster LOL. It's a nice bowl since I can carry my oats with a secured lid both to and from the microwave and the lids helps keep the microwave clean (avoiding the blow-out of course). I throw in some Blueberries, a banana, and some whey protein into the oatmeal after it's cooked. I wash the bowl and keep it and Oats in my desk. Keeps me away from the morning junk crap that people bring into the office.

Oh man, we bought one of these bowls and immediately bought more. With the steam active… it always cooks your hot cereal’s perfect. Easy to use and perfect every time.

My third try at finding a microwaveable bowl for my oatmeal, and this one works great. The other two were glass--needed oven mitts to take out the bowl--and their rubber seals fell out from under the lids over time. The Sistema is plastic and is cool to the touch right out of the microwave. And the seal is staying put (not sure whether that is because this time I am not dishwashing it, unlike the others, or because it is better made.) I recall having read a few reviews about oatmeal boiling over with this product. It does for me, too, if I microwave my oatmeal for three minutes on high. So I heat for two minutes...wait a couple of minutes...and microwave for another minute...and no muss, no fuss. To me, complaining about its boiling over makes no sense, in that if you heat water in a pot for too long over a burner on your stove it will boil over too. Why would you complain about the pot or return it? Things boil over if there is enough liquid, enough heat, and enough time. Don't see that as the product's fault; get upset at physics, if anything :-) By the way, as an aside about oatmeal, if you aren't eating Bob's Red Mill Thick Rolled Oats, you truly are missing out. This is not a planted endorsement, this is just a fan talking!

This bowl is very useful for cooking an egg. I smear a little butter inside, and add the egg. The shape of the bowl makes the egg the perfect size for an english muffin. This bowl is also pretty good with oatmeal, however you have to keep a close eye on it. You'd think the special lid with just a small vent in the middle would stop oatmeal from escaping and getting all over the microwave, but you would be wrong! The oatmeal can still boil up and get to the vent, and then the oatmeal can/will spit all over the inside of your microwave. So you still have to watch your oatmeal and pause it when the oatmeal gets close to the vent. The bowl and lid are super easy to clean. Nothing sticks to it. You can throw it in the dishwasher, or you can hand wash it, either way it's super easy to clean.

This is the last microwave gadget that you will ever buy...Guaranteed! I don't know on what the New Zealanders are doing did but they made an Optimum microwave cooker when they made this cooker by Sistema! These microwave cookware is Made in New Zeland and this is a premium brand of cooker. I have been using this since I bought it non stop yet it ne er melted in the microwave after so many uses from soups to stews even everything made with tomatoes yet it haven't stained nor warped this cookware. I'm so glad that I bought this for it's always a made dash to get out and going places so there's really no time to seat down slouch and eat your food for this household is a busy bunch and always on the rub hence why a microwave is a must in our family and it's the most used appliance in our house and we bought a couple of these Sistema microwave cookers for each member of our family complete with their own names on it and they're solely responsible of taking care of their cookware. So far everyone is happy and eats their meals at their leisure using these containers. As the photos I've included, you can visibly see my hand size as a comparison to the food container and how big it is so you'll get an idea. A very highly recommended item if you like non warping cookware made for your microwave.

I'm a huge advocate for the Sistema products, and this is just one more of their products in a series of products, and I love all of Sistema's products; don't think you can go wrong with any of their items. A secure snap on lid, pop-top on it to vent steam during the microwave process, you can't go wrong with these features. Now, I will say if you were to heat up spaghetti sauce in one, fully expect for there to be a permanent stain in it, one that will likely never be removed. If that were the case, I'd have one of these Sistema's specifically for soups, spaghetti sauce, that sort of thing. Just sayin...

I was hoping that this would make it easier for fixing cream of wheat in the microwave. Didn't work.

Works well, make porrige in it and other things that needs heating at night for snacks. No issue and it's tad bigger then expected to be honest.

The Breakfast bowl is the perfect size love that it is BPA free and that it has a lock on lid with steam vent definitely worth the price and it’s of high quality really happy with my purchase
