You need to buy another motor. It comes with a single motor that turns both wheels at once. I can't remember which is the extra motor I found, but if you read the reviews I think someone mentions which motor to buy. Each motor powers one side, and allows it to turn. Hope I could be Of help!

How do you attach the double gear box wires from the motor to the on and off switch

You don't, the on/off switch is made for a single motor. If you want to run both tracks at one time you don't need the double gear box. If you just want to test it wire the two motors together like and attach them to the switch like a single motor.

How do you control the tracks? Is there some sort of remote or something?

This is essentially a robot part. It provides tracks and a single motor gear box. As it is, the chassis allows you to make a robot vehicle that goes forward or backward. In order to control the tracks you need to change gear boxes and add a dual motor gearbox. This will allow you to control the direction of the vehicle. Once you have that modification made you will need to add a battery pack of some kind as well as a processor or controller of some sort. If you want to have a remote control for this vehicle you would need to build it yourself. This is not a self contained toy. It is a part used to make a robot.
