Old Trapper never disappoints. This peppered beef jerky is awesome—high quality, great texture, and packed with flavor. I also really like their hot & spicy version, but the peppered one hits that perfect balance of savory and bold without being overwhelming. I know some people worry about ordering jerky online because you can’t pick out the bag yourself like you can at the store, but honestly, Amazon makes it way too convenient. It shows up at your door, fresh, sealed, and consistent every time. The price is great, the quality is great, and I have zero complaints. I’ll definitely keep ordering it. My only “problem” is the salt content—high blood pressure means I should behave, but I love beef jerky too much and this stuff is worth it. If you’re on the fence, just get it. It’s genuinely great jerky.

BEST! Hands down! I discovered this brand and have never gone back to any other! Seriously I order this so frequently because the Amazon price is the best, the quality of the jerky is outstanding always moist never to dry, and the pepper is just right. Always a part of my protein routine!

I love this jerky, but my local Publix no longer sells the 10oz (I am aware my order here is for the 8oz), and it is over 1$/oz more expensive. The only problem I have with this product is that I have trouble not eating the entire bag in one sitting.

Good peppered, beef jerky. Nice size pieces. Only issue, and this is mentioned in other reviews, it's VERY salty. Great flavor otherwise. Definitely want to limit how much you eat in one setting due to sodium intake

Yum! Yum! Yummy old trapper has been making excellent beef jerky for many years and we are definitely a fan. Amazon always has the best products and even food products. We definitely recommend getting 25 of these bags and eating them like we do in one sitting. Lol.

This jerky is very good. The flavor is good and reminds me of pepper gravy. The texture isn’t my favorite compared to other brands. It has a rough crumbly texture on the outside, unlike some jerkies that are more of a smooth cut. These pieces appear like they were potentially hand cut before dehydration rather than cut with a slicer. I won’t take any stars off for the texture because it’s good jerky and the texture isn’t a huge issue but that is the one aspect that isn’t quite as good with this brand. I just ordered the old fashion to try next, and the texture might be more of the old style of jerky. I just know I’ve made jerky myself and typically it does not get this texture either.

IMHO, this is the best mass-produced jerky there is. The flavor and texture are always consistent. It is the only brand I buy online.

Best beef jerky. Love that it’s not dry and chewy like rubber. It’s amazing. Great flavor!!! All time fav.
