some assembly required takes maybe 15 seconds 20 if you are not good at handling small screws. After that it's very solid and very accurate. and when you mark a piece it goes around the corner perfectly. I wish I had one of these years ago. mine is blue so it's easy to find in a drawer and the etched makings are easy to read. for the price you can't go wrong. very pleased with purchase.

Curious tool - but well made and accurate. These are suited to a finite set of layout problems (moving a line around a corner) and striking fixed diagonals. Lots of traditional tools maybe handier, but if these solve your problem they’re pretty good.

This is a good multitool for a casual user and homeowner. For someone with a more serious shop, this isn’t a Woodpeckers quality tool, nor are you paying those prices. For most intents and purposes, this will do the job well across a multitude of tasks. The aluminum frame can stand up to some wear and tear. The markings are crisp and clear, and accurate. Most importantly, the angles and square are pretty well dialed in similar to more expensive tools I have in the shop. I’ve never had one like this with the leg down the side and honestly, I’ve not used it for anything that requires that leg yet, but I do like having the extra option for marking and sliding a scribe down a second face of the wood. I do worry that with the configuration, that leg could be prone to bending if you throw it around and lay stuff on top of it and aren’t careful with it. If you want something that does a little bit of everything fairly well, I don’t think you’d regret this if you ordered it. If you’re a professional user, and make a living using this 8 hours a day, you might want something better but I really can’t think of a reason why. This works great for most tasks.

A useful tool for around the house. I'm not a professional carpenter by any means, but I do a lot of little projects around the house, and this thing is really handy. I was building some shelves for the garage, and getting the angles right was a pain before. This ruler made it much easier to mark everything up accurately. It feels pretty solid - not like it's going to break if I put a little pressure on it, and the markings are clear enough to read even in my dimly lit garage. It's a bit bigger than I expected, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does take up a little more space when storing...at least, you can dismantle it and it then will lay flat. It's good to have a tool that can do multiple things, especially when you're trying to keep things organized.
