A true classic
Very sturdy, cool and reliable watch. All functions are easily accessible with some practice. Good size, a true classic.

Best watch you can buy
Awesome watch, I added a green nylon strap and a green LCD screen filter. Really look good against the gold accent lettering

I like the square shape of the watch and the map ...
I use this watch when going outdoors or when I'm working out. I like the square shape of the watch and the map on the watch. It is a very practical watch and is extremely easy to read which is why I bought it. I sometimes even wear it just to wear because of how simple it is to read the watch. This digital watch was basically perfect for what I needed in the sports watch. It includes features such as dual time, countdown timer, stopwatch, and a light to read the watch at night. The face is around 40mm which I think is good size because I have a skinny wrist. The watch has an over greenish tint for the display which I personally like. I also like how the face is square shaped with makes it look a bit more unique compared to other sport watches in its category and price range. I have used this watch for a few months now and I think it is rather durable because I do no take any care to it and still looks as if I just got it. I would definitely recommend someone this watch if they needed something that could tell them accurately what time is and some basic features. The watch even has a world map function which I think is pretty cool but I personally don't use it that much because I don't move to different time zones.

I had been looking for the perfect digital or any
I had been looking for the perfect digital or any watch really that meets all my "sport watch" needs. These included dual time, stopwatch, countdown timer, light and ability to see the time while any of those functions are in use in a light weight package, Being 100m water resistant with a 10yr battery is a bonus. It's also not huge like the casion pro trek watches which I find obnoxiously big (50mm case size @ 15mm thick? Really?). This is about 40mm square and maybe 12mm thick so really wearable. The strap is also thick enough to be sturdy yet pliable. It also has a neat amber light rather than the usual blue/green indiglo style light and this version has a slightly greenish tint to the display which I like and helps it not look like the usual "cold" display. The weak point is the plastic strap buckle rather than a metal one. I'm sure it won't break but it does bend a little and I can see it breaking if it gets caught on something. I'm sure there are plenty of other straps that fit with metal buckles and you could always rip the plastic one out and put a metal one in there if you wanted. All this for under $25.00 is a great deal to me for a watch that ticks all my "beater" watch functions. I will probably get another for backup since I finally found the feature set I want.

Analog Illusion, Digital Hands
I’ve loved the Casio rectangular watches with faux analog display since I first saw them in the mid 1980’s. I purchased my Casio AE-9W (photo attached) with its “Analog Illusion, Digital Hands” (great moniker) in 1985 for $29.95 (equivalent to $68.00 in 2017 dollars adjusted for inflation). Thirty-two years later, it still works flawlessly and looks great. Only annoyances were that it lacked illumination and battery change is a yearly affair. When I saw the AE1200WH-1B I had to add it to my watch stable. Some have pointed out it's ten bucks more than the AE1200WH-1A that is the exact same watch without the green accent color but I like the color and it’s still $44.00 less than I’d paid for my AE-9W thirty-two years ago. Compare the two side by side in my photos: probably the cheaper AE1200WH-1A watch display has better contrast. The AE1200WH in either color variation offers great features and value; it’s easy to use, illuminated and attractive with a ten year battery life to boot. Only negative for me is that the watch case is pretty thick that makes it challenging to fit under long sleeve dress shirts. I was amused to read another reviewer touting how thin this watch is. He’s clearly accustomed to wearing manhole covers on his wrist. Overall; a solid recommend and an awesome value. Casio's US website only shows the AE1200WH-1A. You need to go to Casio's International website to find this -1B variant that indicates to me this is a non-US model that would account for the price delta. In the International website the -1A and -1B variants are shown as "color variations". BTW: Amazon specifications erroneously shows this watch featuring a mineral crystal - it doesn't. It's a resin (acrylic plastic) crystal, (see specifications from Casio Japan attached). Amazon lists the weight as 1.12 Ounces - it's actually 1.38 ounces. Amazon lists the battery as one LR44 battery - it's actually one CR2025. Amazon lists the watch as "Made in USA or Imported" - it's actually made in China. None of these miscues are significant - the watch is still a screaming great value. Buy one, you'll like it!

Nice watch with great features
This watch looks great and has a nice vintage, even campy feel about it (you will get James Bond comments wearing it). Backlight is good, world time feature is excellent and it is comfortable and easy to read. My only gripe is the crystal is resin and not mineral like my G-Shock so it does scratch very easily. I managed to put some hairline scratches into mine by wiping it with a soft towel.

Another Casio classic
Just when I thought I had enough variety of Casio watches this one catches my eye. So many little touches make it one of my favorite pieces. From the square design which I usually overlook, to the analog clock. While it would be even better had it been a compass It still is nice and the moving second hand is useful. Having so many time zones available is nothing I may never utilize, great for those that travel with every location to scroll through easily or set as a main 3. I also really liked the green color for the map and how it contrasts along with the other tan accents. The size I was worried could be too big but it's perfect, all the numbers are easy to read even the analog clock. My wrist is about 7" but anything much smaller I wouldn't recommend as it would be way too large unless you like that kind of look. It feels very light on the wrist though either way. All the buttons depress easily with a good spring to them. The orange backlight looks great and lights the whole screen unlike the cheaper models that just have one side. Can also set how long you want it to stay lit between 1 or 3 seconds, love that. The stock rubber strap is certainly comfortable though I wanted something nicer. Replaced it with a nice nylon strap in a khaki color that I find gives a far better look, especially with this model having green and tan already in it. I would stick to a traditional strap instead of a NATO style one for this. For my digital watches this has become one of my favorites, lot of great features, well designed and affordable.

My everyday.
This is my everyday workshop watch. I love the size (6 3/4" wrist), the display, the function, the light... Everything! I mean, I have mainly Swiss mechanicals and Swiss movements in the arsenal, but for the woodshop, or mowing the lawn, or changing the oil in the truck, or anything at all that I do and don't want to worry about the watch on my wrist. I'm of the camp that "wears the watch" and I try not to baby them too too much, but com'on, you know how we are. This watch allows me to put all of that aside and just get the job done. If it gets gouged or rashes by something or other I don't care. If somehow it just gets destroyed, I'll probably just spent the 30 some odd dollars and immediately replace it. Not a fan of the strap though. I just don't like rubber. I got a black canvas strap for it and I never even think about it. And that's a good thing.
