Works!
Excellent product, works as described. Nice sturdy plastic that has no odor. About to buy another one for my mom, who couldn’t believe how well it works.

A GOOD IDEA
IT DOES A PRETTY GOOD JOB BUT IT ENDS UP WITH A LITTLE BITTER TASTE FROM THE SKIN AND MEMBRANE. I LIKED IT AND SENT ONE TO MY DAUGHTER. SHE IS NOT A FAN OF POMEGRANATES BUT HER HUSBAND AND SONS ARE SO SHE USES THIS TO DO ABOUT THREE AT A TIME. I LOVE POMEGRANATES AND SO I AM MORE PICKY ABOUT THE SKIN AND MEMBRANE. I DO MINE THE OLD FASHION WAY. I DON'T KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING THAT WOULD BE PERFECT BUT THEN THEY ARE ONLY IN SEASON A SHORT TIME.

Deseeding a Pomegranate finally, almost, fun!
I saw this product in Cooks Illustrated and thought it would be worth a try. I was worried that the Deseeder wouldn't come in time for our pomegranate season, but it arrived a week earlier than the earliest delivery promise. At first I had difficulty getting the seeds out since my pomegranate didn't look quite like the one in the picture and was smaller. On the second attempt, I cut the pomegranate in half and then broke it into 3 pieces. This worked perfectly and I had seeds in less than a minute with NO MESS. Yes, I had to take a little of the pith out, but it was nothing like the old way of banging the fruit with a spoon and getting it all over. For the first time, I am looking forward to harvesting our pomegranates and storing the seeds instead of watching the fruit go to waste. Thank you HolyLand folks!

Doesn’t work
Doesn’t work. Bought it as a present, they had 2 people try it and they said it doesn’t work and it’s messy.

A real time saver.
So easy. (Some pomegranate arils might remain attached to the fruit, but are easy to remove by hand.) To Use: Put a bowl or plate underneath that is a bit bigger than the deseeder to catch pomegranate juice (wear an apron just in case a little juice splashes out. Very hot water will get stains out, if you need.) If any white bits are among the arils, just take them out. Enjoy!

Has promise to be useful
My wife loves this red fruit. I thought this would be a great thing, especially after reading about it in Cook's Ill. I think it has promise, but only for specific pomegranates. My grandmothers trees produce pomegranates with a lot of membrane, and occasionally we will see one with the star pattern shown in the photos in the instructions (i.e. ours have small groups of seeds, not large groups). For this, I gave it 3 stars, and not 1. Given how it worked for ours, I think pomegranates with the star pattern might work very well. My wife says the store pomegranates tend to have the kind this item is supposed to work with. We will keep it and see. As we also planted a tree this last summer, maybe we will have the type most people seem to have (given the reviews).

This makes eating pomegranate seeds so easy.
Easy to use and clean up. I had one for years and I misplaced it after reorganizing my kitchen, so I got another. Now I have 2, but they last and you can de-seed a pomegranate in just a couple minutes and not stain your fingers or counters. I have given these as presents as well and the recipients were also very pleased with how easy to use.
