WOW. What a ride!
I'm a 36 year old man. I play video games occasionally. I'm mostly into sports games, but sometimes i'll get the urge to play an action game. The only other action games I've played are the Drake series and Infamous. It's difficult for a video game to keep me entertained. Eventually i'll see repetition and I get a little bored, leaving the game for weeks at a time. I gotta say, I wanted to play GTA 4 almost everyday. There are dozens of missions, all with their unique dialogue, unique scenery, unique characters. This game felt A LOT like a real movie. In fact, I'm surprised there is no GTA: The Movie. There is so much to do in this game and you can do it at your own pace. When i didn't feel like shooting people down and just wanted to take a break, I'd take a taxi(or steal a car) and go to the comedy club or cabaret show. These are actual shows. The comedians do about 5 minute sets and it's pretty funny stuff. You can go many times(i think 6) and never get a repeat performance. The game is long, and along the way you make some friends, or acquaintances. If they end up liking you enough(by hanging out with them at strip clubs, bowling, shooting darts, comedy clubs, etc), they'll do you favors. One guy will sell you weapons for cheap, another guy will detonate an explosive for you on one of your missions, another guy will send a couple of his buddies to help you kill an enemy. That was just one small detail that I thought was brilliant. You can go on the in-game internet and find women to date. You can buy ringtones on the in-game internet. The list of things to do is endless. If you're not into wasting time and want to go right through the missions, you can do that too. There are about 15 different weapons to choose from and you can get them anytime. If you don't have the money to buy them, you can find a map online and search for the hidden weapons. The coolest weapon, a rocket launcher, is found on a tiny island out at sea. You actually have to swim to get there. A lot of the negative reviews say "if you don't complete a mission all the way through, the game makes you start all over, frequently having to drive 10 minutes just to get to the mission!" This is only true if you drive to the mission yourself. Instead, get a taxi! When you get in the taxi, the driver will ask where you want to go. Choose where you want to go from the list, and just click x as soon as he starts driving and it'll skip right to the start of the mission. Sometimes reading the manual goes a long way. The acting is incredible. The different environments are incredible. Graphics are really good. Not super duper excellent or anything, but close enough. According to the stats, i've been playing this game for 58 hours. If i wanted to, i could still shoot birds around the city(there are 200 you can kill), find side missions(there are random guys on the street who ask you to do favors for them), date some women and have sex with them(you don't actually see niko getting laid, but you hear his woman having an orgasm--of course she could be faking it), hang out with your friends(strip club, bowling, grab a bite to eat, etc), or just go around the humungous city killing people and running away from the cops. A definite masterpiece. I cannot WAIT for GTA 5.

How Can Anyone Not Like GTA 4?
I've played all the Grand Theft Auto games from GTA 2 on Playstation 1 up to now and I just don't get why people dislike this game. You can choose clothes but not absurdly so like San Andreas, you don't have to worry about stupid stuff like collectables or going to the gym or getting fat from eating too much fast food - which I always thought was just too much in San Andreas. There is a large amount of useful and cool weapons, only a couple I thought were just a waste of time. You can drive all sorts of cars and bikes, boats and choppers weren't as easy to come across in this game but still in existence. You can still have several safehouse and a girlfriend of course. Rockstar basically cut the fat from the steak and left all the meat in my opinion as far as variety and choices. The missions are fun, vast, and full of variety. Some are a bit over the top challenging or just plain stupid but that was only 4 or 5 missions out of around 90. The controls aren't all that clunky like most say, the only problem I had was getting in and out of boats and controlling choppers. The graphics are great just like you'd expect, maybe not as good of Gears of War 2 or Assassin's Creed 2, but otherwise better than average. The story and characters aren't going to rock your socks but it will suffice. After all, who really plays GTA for the cut scenes? Most of what I liked about this game is that you can take a taxi and practically warp to most every location in the game for just a few bucks, the only locations you are restricted access from is if the bridges are blocked, but they all will be eventually cleared as you progress through the game and you will be able to take a cab there as well. It saves a lot of time and effort driving from one side of town to the next just to die in the first few minutes of the mission. Some said this made the game unchallenging or cheap but I don't know what they're talking about. Buyng a taxi for a few bucks versus driving around for five minutes - really? Also, if you fail a mission you get a text on your cell phone that gives you the option to try it again. If you select yes you will instantly warp to the beginning of the mission. A lot less hassle in my opinion. There are a few negatives to this game. There are no gang wars unless you buy Episodes and the multiplayer isn't anyting near the level of Modern Warfare 2 or Halo 3. However, I still believe GTA IV is way better than its respectable spin-offs like Saint's Row 2 and The Godfather 2. In the end, everyone that says this game is the worst of the GTA series or is a step down from San Andreas needs to stop playing Xbox 360 and go back to Playstation 1 where you played the entire game from a hawk's point of view and your character looked like a freakin PEZ.

one of the best
I want to start off by stating that I am NOT a hardcore gamer. I have read a few reviews by people who would seem to be hardcore gamers that were disappointed with this game and I don't get it. I thought it was great. I played gta 3 back in the day and I liked it but I didn't love it, I thought it was a little too cartoonish and over the top with its italian mob stereotypes. That is why I never bothered with vice city or san andreas. Gta 4 blows 3 out of the water, the gritty storyline really sucks you in. Its not all gold guns and glory, there are ups and downs for every decision you make. It is like being in a movie that you dictate, you decide who lives and who dies. The cutscenes and voice acting in the game are fantastic. When I finally beat the missions in the storyline after 50 + hours of gameplay my wife said "can I have my husband back now?" All the detractors seem to be complaining about the friends / girlfriends getting in the way of their sandbox time. You have a few options here # 1 you can put the phone on sleep mode so they don't call you # 2 keep the friends / gf's you need and ditch the rest, if you don't use dwayne's backup or packies car bombs then don't answer when they call. # 3 beat all the missions, turn off the phone and the whole map with all the islands and the weapons, cars, motorcycles boats and helicopters is at your disposal. Overall I like the friend / gf concept I would just make them a little less needy for gta 5 I only have a few minor things I would change but that aren't really a big deal # 1 something to spend all that money on - I finished the missions with over 600,000 dollars. I owned every bit of clothing from all the stores. I took all my friends and dates to the expensive places. I used a lot of ammunition and I took taxi's everywhere. I would suggest cars for sale that aren't available on the street in game. The ability to buy more safehouses would be nice as well. # 2 the subway system is neat but unnecessary - I never really used it, I either drove or used cabs once I got stable on the cash. Perhaps if the in game map had color coded the different lines it would have been easier to use but who wants to pull out the paper map to look at subway lines when you can just hail a cab? You can't go wrong with this game, its a lot of fun. Especially now that its less than 20 bucs.

Works fine in Windows 7 64-bit
First of all, it works fine in Windows 7, even 64-bit. Run the setup.exe located in the GTAIV directory instead of the autorun.exe in the root download directory, if you do it this way, it does not install the Rockstar Social Club. When you run setup.exe, it will tell you "Your system is not compatible with Grand Theft Auto IV. Please follow the link below for more information. If you click the link, it takes you to a Microsoft support article on how to download and install Windows XP Service Pack 3. It shouldn't take a genius to figure out that you need to run the setup in Windows XP Service Pack 3 mode. Right click on the setup.exe, go to the compatibility tab, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) from the drop down list. Run setup.exe again and it will install. As for the other complaints about having to install or sign up with the Rockstar Social club and Games for Windows Live, if you read the directions right in front of you, it tells you that the Rockstar Social Club is optional, and you can create an offline GFWL account and never have to be online to play the game. You only have to create those accounts if you want to play multiplayer over the internet. I bought the game on disk when it was released, but my DVD drive malfunctioned and ejected the disk while it was spinning full speed. I checked the disk and it would not read data2.cab. I would not be able to use it to re-install the game, but it would still recognize it and let me launch the game. I figured I would just have to buy it again when the time came to re-install, and hoped that when that time came the price would come down. I built a new gaming computer earlier this year. By then the Episode From Liberty City came out on PC, so I bought that and forgot all about GTA: IV while I was busy playing EFLC. Recently I was itching to go back and play the original GTA: IV, but I couldn't re-install with my bad disk. Lucky for me Amazon had a 75% off end of the year sale, so I decided to give the $5 digital download version a try rather than pay $20 for another disk version. It downloads the contents of what is on the retail DVDs, it installs and runs just like it's a retail disk version, but without the need for a disk. You still have to activate with SecuROM (I forgot about that part), but after that it runs without the need to find and put in a disk or connect to a digital service. As long as all Amazon Digital Download games work this way, I will be buying games this way from now on.

Better than San Andreas?
I read a lot of reviews for this game. It was, to me, the game that would sell me into the current generation. I've completed the missions, but haven't reached 100% yet. There are some things that I haven't seen mentioned much that I want to start with. I can't say that I was playing GTA when it was an overhead isometric game, but have been around long enough to remember when the first 2 parts came out. I jumped in when GTA III came out. The first improvement for me is the way the police attention is dealt with. On the past games, you had numerous ways to escape a "wanted" status. One, Pay and Spray. Two, pick up the stars laying around the maps which were rarely in places you could get to easily while police cars rammed you. On GTA IV, your mini-map flashes when a wanted level is present and you have an outline around it. This is the police's view of you. If you can escape the circle, which does increase in size depending on the number of stars, you will lose your wanted level. Another improvement, no more sliding into Pay and Spray with the cops right behind you. If you do it, the game will respond, "The cops saw you". How many times did we all laugh at the old GTA games as cops were still outside the Pay and Spray, suddenly dumb and forgetting that you just pulled in with a 4 star wanted level? The AI overall is much better though not without flaws. Everything is more realistic now. Which can be a good or bad thing depending on your position. The dating returns, which was one of my complaints in my San Andreas review here on Amazon, it has improved a great deal though it seems pretty pointless. Pointless why? Well, I have tried calling Carmen 4 times for health. It goes through the whole dialog of "Stay calm, hold pressure on your cuts" but no health. A glitch? It works when outside of a mission. But not in a mission. Why would I need health while walking around or driving around not in a mission? See. Pointless. I haven't tried calling Kiki to get the wanted level removed or reduced. A great deal of the fun of this game for me is trying to outrun the police. The return of the boneheaded missions. Thank goodness they rid the game of the RC missions. The bad news is, you will still find yourself doing missions that are what I call boneheaded. You will see things happening that are boneheaded too. Like in one mission, you go into a strip club, assault the managers, one runs. If you get outside and get a clear shot at him, you will end up with wanted stars. So, while you're trying to drive, shoot, keep control of your car at a high speed, you also have cops coming from every angle sliding into your car. The mission, like many past missions in the GTA series ends up being a matter of luck. In this mission, I ended up playing it 5 times before beating it, takes from 20-30 minutes to play including drive over to the scene of the mission. No, I don't use taxis unless it is something that has to be done in a certain amount of time. On one of the tries, I had shot the escape truck enough to make it blow up. It blows up, the driver runs across the street on fire. I run over him while he is on fire. The damage addition, had to take at least few bullets during all the shooting. His vehicle exploded with him in it. He was on fire. He was ran over. As I'm driving away from the scene, I realize the red dot representing the target was still on the map. I drive back to run over him again. The guy must be Superman as it is. As I am driving at full-speed right at him he fires ONE shot through my windshield and kills me. That nearly cost the controller its life! Most of the missions though have a logical way to finish them. I finally realized on the aforementioned mission to block the door the guy ran out of to escape. Pull a car in front of the door before entering the club and he isn't going anywhere. Unlike others, I was glad to see the paramedic, pizza delivery, truck driving, vigilante and taxi driver missions...gone. I found all of those to be major drags when playing San Andreas, Vice City and III. The good news for me at least. The characters in this game are great. Niko is not only a lot of fun to use, but has some great lines. Little Jacob is probably the best supporting character of the series. His Jamaican slang adds some humor to the game, especially watching Niko try to understand him. Roman is the type of guy you have to like which makes later missions genuinely sad. The girlfriends are better than San Andreas. And no, I don't mean in looks or in those ways. Just the way they fit into the game. For some reason, I have preferred the spoiled brat Alex to the others though Kiki and her obsession with Niko, constant texts and "dirty" texts is great too. Carmen's love of herself is also good for a laugh, "Niko, is this not the face that belongs on a magazine cover?" Some complaints I've read that I don't agree with. People expecting more than drive, shoot target, take car or money. It's named Grand Theft Auto for a reason! All video games will fall into the category of possibly boring after awhile. I know of no games that truly allow 100% freedom. If they did, how would you ever know you had finished it? There has to be some basis and structure. It is hard for me to criticize a game about stealing cars for asking me to steal cars. Sure, there are redundant parts. How many times will Roman call you during the game and ask you to go to a strip club? It gets even more frustrating later in the game. You're way over in the 3rd island and he is calling you from the 1st island. You have no choice but to take a taxi and skip the ride over. It does go into drive from point A to point B and back or to point C in Roman's case. I've always thought these parts were in the game to improve your driving ability, not a stat, but your actual in-game driving ability and to see the cities without having a cop chasing you at high speed. The graphics are some of the best and most detailed I've seen. Right down to the cars having markings on the bumper or grille to tell you the maker. Speaking of the cars, much more recognizable than in past games. You also get a more realistic experience from the different cars. My stats show that my favorite car has been the Oracle. A run on the higher end BMWs. This doesn't surprise me since I prefer good speed with excellent handling over excellent speed with average handling. Though you can't modify the cars, you can find modified versions of the cars around the game. The modified Sultan is twice as good as the regular Sultan. Giving you something new to look for or hunt down. Most of the higher-end cars have a modified or rare version for you to search for though it is not part of the game. You can find many lists on the internet to let you know what to be looking for. GTA IV rare cars search will show you them. The weapons in this one are very good as well. I went with the Desert Eagle/Combat Pistol over the traditional 9 MM. The AK-47 is a marked improvement over past renditions of this powerful weapon. The grenades are still not as good as I thought they could be and I don't like the "drop" a grenade ability. I'm sure everyone that has played this game has at least dropped one on accident and saw Niko play like Rocketman. The physics of the game are much more realistic. No more of those falling flat down kills. Now you see enemies or you even, grab their leg, crumple into a heap, fly through the air when hit by moving cars AND their legs and arms flailing. Old GTA games, the ran over enemies would just fly into the air and somehow die in mid-air and lay down in the air. One this one, they bounce, jump out of a helicopter to get the full effect as you bounce off a building only to then wrap around a telephone poll. The drunk part is funny the first few times you do it. After that, you'll find yourself dodging the bars as much as possible. The game has a lot of depth to it and if played to 100% is long. As of right now, I have completed all of the story missions and some of the side missions, my completion percentage is 61%. Speaking of the side missions. Though Vigilante and its 12 levels of capturing "bad" guys is gone. You can do side missions that require a police car and police computer to hunt down wanted criminals. There are also random characters that show up on the map that have separate missions for you from the regular story. There are 3 sports activities, bowling, darts and pool. Though I thought they blew it by having a putt-putt course on the game, but not allowing it to be used in the game. There also are side races for the hilarious Brucie to do. Stealing certain cars for Stevie. I'm guessing you are getting the point by now. I really wasn't for sure that I was going to be that happy with this game because of the reviews that talk about "Dark, less humor, more serious". I don't see that completely. There is a lot of humor in the game's dialog, though some of it is dark humor or potty humor. The game does seem to take a serious turn later in it as you start to realize that Niko has been in places and situations most people haven't had to face. He all but meltdowns late in the game with screaming fits during shootouts. Think Al Pacino in Scarface. You most likely will come away from the game really liking the character. I refused to read a walkthrough on the missions and recommend the same for anyone buying the game. This allowed me to experience the plot twists and turns without a walkthrough spoiling it for me. Definitely not a game for the little ones. Besides the language, some of the killings are just brutal. Wait until you accidentally hit someone in your shiny white car and see their blood splattered on your hood and bumper. One last complaint, did not care for the soundtrack. There are maybe 4 stations playing original songs by the original artists. Tuff Gong is probably the best as it is a reggae station that has nothing but Marley songs on it. I have broad taste in music and think they missed the boat by not putting a country station on it. Who wouldn't like listening to maybe Johnny Cash? Put his song, "13" in it or the original Danzig version of the same song and you have Niko's theme right there. The rap stations are okay. The Classic Rap station is much better than the newer one though I thought they picked the worst possible Gangstarr song to use in it. That annoying scratch/squeal sample has no place in a video game. Probably the biggest fault here, one of the more enjoyable songs in it by Rick Ross, is only used in a comedy sketch. Liberty Rock is okay too, I had forgotten all about the song, "Evil Woman" by ELO as it was one of the better songs on the soundtrack. That may explain the 4 star on fun. A big part of the fun for me is driving around listening to the different music. You can put your own music in it, but it doesn't synch with the game like on Vice City on the original Xbox. You have to turn the sound effects down all the way. Still, I couldn't at this point, recommend a game for the 360 any higher than this one. I'm getting ready to grab the two DLC episodes Ballad of Gay Tony and Lost and the Damned. Making it an even deeper game. I was never a big fan of Liberty City in the GTA III days, but this version of Liberty City is much improved with more open streets. I did miss the areas from San Andreas, like Back O' Beyond and Mount Chiliad, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I do recommend saving it to your hard drive and playing from the hard drive. The game's sounds and music are nearly blocked out by the 360 loading the disc if you play it straight from the disc unless you blast the volume. This is my first game on the 360 so some of the opinions in it like about the graphics and depth should be thought about in that sense. I have very little else to compare it to at this point.

The long awaited sequel delivers
The Good: Amazing story, memorable characters, subtle details really stand out, superb graphics, fun online play The Bad: Crappy car handling, minor control issues, online lags more than it should, nothing earth shattering but perfected I remember playing GTA III when it first came out. I didn't have a PS2 yet and I went over to a friend's house and played it for hours every single day. While we mostly just messed around it was something I never played before and was just so addictive. Thankfully GTA IV goes back to it's roots and brings us to good ol' Liberty City. You play as none other than Niko Bellic who is a Russian immigrant who came to LC with his cousin Roman to start a new life. The game's main attractions are it's story for once. GTA IV has a superb story that makes you want to keep playing. Gone are the lukewarm stories from previous GTAs where only the main character is the main attraction with just OK side characters. In previous GTAs you never really got a good feeling of the employers due to the lack built up story. You were just in and out of the short cut scenes only knowing what to really do. This kind of was solved in San Andreas, but even then only a select few were really fleshed out. In IV you feel every character in the game and there are tons of plot twists and it really keeps the game fresh through every single mission. On another note, the graphics are amazing. While not Assassin's Creed or BioShock amazing they're really good. It's mainly the subtle details though such as people now put their blinkers on, cars are damaged in real time now with realistic physics so half broken fenders and bumpers sway as you turn the car, the paint can get scraped up, crowd AI is more efficient (yet not by much), better enemy AI (still not by much), further draw distance, everything has high-res textures, bump mapping and the whole next-gen works. There are a few things that they stripped away such as the whole working out system, swimming underwater (you can still swim though!), and territories. There are other subtle details such as the internet you can now use. It's a virtual made up internet, but it's still as funny as hell and has a dating system (yes it's still here) implemented on the dating website. You can get emails for side missions from employers as well. You can now take taxis around the city and either watch them drive your skip it if you want. This really helps a lot if you are tired of driving everywhere. There is also a new route system where the game will plot the safest and most legal course to your destination. Red is a target, blue is a friendly, green is a waypoint you made on your map, and yellow is an objective. This is probably one of the better additions because it keeps your from getting lost during time sensitive missions. Another thing is the revamped wanted system. You now have flashing "zones" for every star. The more stars the bigger the circle will get on your radar that you have to escape. Cops are now showed as flashing blue and red blips and copters are now flashing X's. While we're talking about characters again the voice acting is amazing. I really felt like I was watching bits of a movie every time there was a cut scene. The characters are really fleshed out here every...single...one. You'll remember every character in the 60+ hour game and that's a really hard thing to achieve. Rockstar really went the extra 20 miles with this game and you can just feel it. The game is huge as well, while not as huge as San Andreas it's about as big as GTA III yet it's also big as in taller as well. You can fly planes, and copters again in here and while it's a lot easier than San Andreas it's still not very fun. Speaking of controls they are more refined this time and the auto aim is a lot better yet there's still that stupid camera! Switching targets is NOT very easy. You have to press the right stick EXACTLY left or right or you won't switch targets. Whenever you do lock on Niko always aims for the wrong persons and ends with cheap deaths and what have you. The cars are also a big pain because they just don't feel right. They all feel really heavy and they slide way too much no matter what car you use. You try to put the brakes on and your car will slide and slide and you'll miss your turn, and the same goes for the handbrake. You hit it and your car spins out a few times no matter how good you are with the handling. I found this very annoying with the driving missions because it would lead to cheap and frustrating failures. Apart from all this the game as 16 player Xbox LIVE support. You have tons of game modes from deathmatch, to cops and robbers. In cops and robbers it's pretty self explanatory. You all get in a car and try to kill each other. This is also very fun yet annoying because the game can lag a lot especially with people who have crappy connections. It also may take awhile to start a game due to everyone wanting 16 players and they just won't start the game. Aside from the minor issues GTA IV is probably game of the year worthy, but it doesn't do anything as ground breaking as GTA III did. It just perfects it 100% this time and gives us what we've always wanted. The perfect GTA game.

5 Star Game gets 3 Star Rating Because of Windows 8 and Microsoft Live
I run Windows 8, as do many people these days. The game WILL play on this operating system, and on a Sony Vaio i3 laptop with 6GB of RAM. But let me tell you what I had to go through to get this to work... After a 6 hour download, Windows 8 told me flat out that this game was incompatible. Well, actually, it turns out you just need to alter compatibility settings (right-click on the application inside the game folder where it's installed, select compatibility, and run as either Windows 7 or Windows XP). You'd think this would be an obvious tip for the operating system to suggest you try first, but no... If I hadn't been the slightest bit 'techy' I wouldn't be able to play the game I'd just paid good money for. Next, I had to contend with Microsoft Live. The Rockstar Social Club membership was easy as I already had that (it's free). But then, after activating the game with the code I got from Amazon, Microsoft Windows Live began demanding another code, not accepting the Amazon one. I tried going through Microsoft - talk about trying to get blood out of a stone! Turns out this service is discontinued or something. Ended August 22nd 2013. So it's asking for a code that it won't verify anyway because the service isn't behind it! Without this extra, unnecessary level of activation, you wouldn't be able to save your game, even playing offline. So I had to download a file called 'xlive.dll', also known as 'liveless'. This bypasses this needless security level and allows you to actually play the game you just bought! (Apparently, large numbers of the online gaming community use this approach. I found it recommended in several places.) At this point, if you have an uber gaming desktop setup, you should be able to play. Well, hold up... I have a Sony Vaio laptop. It's a decent laptop for games but it's no Alienware. When I got to this point, the loading screen just kept recyclying and I had to restart my laptop because I couldn't quit out of it. There IS a way you can play though! For this, you need to open Notepad and create a file called 'commandline.txt'. Search the internet for 'GTA4 command line' and you should find several forum pages explaining how to do this. The best one I found explained the -availablevidmem and -percentvidmem lines in terms of your computer/laptop's memory capacity. Basically your availablevidmem needs to be 1.0 for every 512Mb of RAM. I had 6GB, so my value for that was 12.0, but this may be different for you. The percentvidmem needs to be 100 to use all of that. Couple that with some other lines and you'll get something like this: -norestriction -nomemrestrict -availablevidmem 12.0 -percentvidmem 100 -renderquality 2 -shadowdensity 4 -texturequality: 1 -viewdistance 20 -detailquality 20 -novblank Like I said, if you have a decent gaming system, there's no need to do this last step. But if, like me, you have a half decent setup and GTA 4 is just being fussy, don't be deterred. You CAN get it to play. If you don't have a gaming desktop or if you operate on Windows 8 and you don't feel comfortable doing any of the above, don't buy this game. It's a five star game but this copy gets 3 stars from me because it's a bit of hassle getting it to work. The tech restrictions I can understand - they don't want anyone blowing up their laptop running this game! But the Windows 8 and Microsoft Live stuff was the thing that really aggravated me. If you are happy to do some/all of these things, buy this game! It's a ton of fun, and there's great mods like LCPDFR that you can get for free.

A Masterful Game
I'm going to start this review by saying that i've been playing GTA games, and have been a fan of the series since the original GTA, and of course GTA 3 on PS2. Needless to say, I was very accustomed to the gameplay of GTA. Coming straight out of San Andreas, you're left wanting more. My dream was to have a GTA game on a seventh generation platform and Grand Theft Auto IV completes that dream. MISSIONS: You start the game as Niko Bellic, an Eastern European fresh off the boat, and fresh from the Yugoslav war. The first mission basically introduces you to Broker (like Brooklyn), and driving a simple car. (Were definately not driving a Banshee on the first mission.) Overall I like the missions and they interest me more than any other GTA game. The missions always offer some kind of action, as well as clever dialog that keeps the player immersed in Liberty City. You will definately see Niko, as well as his story progress throughout the game. I am very impressed with the high quality of the missions and cinematics, as well as the in-game cinematics. FREE ROAM: One of the funnest parts of GTA games has always been free roaming around the city and exploring. GTA IV takes that to the next level with the incredible detail and depth Liberty City now has. You'll hear people talking on their phone as you run by, you'll knock over boxes and trashcans in alleyways, you'll be climbing over any fence and wall that you can, and you will see newspapers and other litter floating around occasionally. The detail and depth of this new Liberty City is definately there, and i'm very pleased with the new design of Liberty City, making it much more like New York is a refreshment from the old Liberty City. MULTIPLAYER: Multiplayer is a very important aspect of GTA IV. You can customize your online character, and earn money by killing enemy players to unlock new clothes, advance in rank, and buy new clothes. Multiplayer has many modes, but if you're not into objective games, don't worry, free roam online is just as fun, if not the funnest, as you can do anything, and even invent new ways to play with your friends, or with friends you may make during the game, try pulling over next to another player, and they might just get in your car and shoot at other players. There's always new and exciting things happening on the multiplayer. SUMMARY: I give GTA IV a 5/5 because I really feel that GTA IV is an absolute masterpiece. I read a review earlier where someone said "videogames as art", I agree 100%.

Wrong Country, idiot
I disliked my order because I received an American copy of the game, rendering it useless to me.

Very very cheap and surprising
worth every penny you spend, the game comes with everything, it was sealed, came with a map, papers, and a free Xbox live gold trial. the disc had zero scratches. the only downside is that the map did have a bit of rips but that doesn't really matter. Gameplay of the game was good, did get just a bit laggy so I downloaded the game and there was no lag. the graphics where good for a decade old game and the soundtrack was amazing.
