I became tired of being ripped off by the big name razor manufacturers and paying absolutely RIDICULOUS prices for even five razor blades! It has become a joke and so I grew a beard just to cut them out! I’m 2007 I travelled in the Trans-Siberian Railway through winter for eight days from Moscow and one of the other passengers was a project manager for Gillet (the razor company). I quizzed him (I’m an independent investigative journalist/editor so I ask questions) and during our conversations I asked him exactly how much a unit (one blade unit) cost to manufacture, market, and sell? He told me less than one pence (GBP00.006… yes six tenths of one pence!) I was disgusted at the company’s greed. I challenged him about the retail price and he said because we can charge that and people will pay it because they don’t know how to shave with anything else. He told me ‘we promote insecurity through the fear of being cut and pain and discomfort’ so the customer won’t buy the other blades that have been used of millennia. I’ve used a straight razor… once you learn the technique it’s not a problem and you get a truly FANTASTIC shave. I’ve used safety razor blades like this razor uses and once you employ a little common sense it’s very safe and you get another great shave. So I decided to shave and be hairless on my chin. This razor is vey good quality and it got great style too. Easy to use and the blade changing is so simple. I also bough 100 blades (20 x 5 blades) to go with it and they’re excellent. A point to note: the blades do the cutting so the best blades you can buy us always a good idea. The materials science that goes into good blades is very advanced. The cost of the 100 blades: next to nothing! This razor is very comfortable and easy to handle. I’m very happy I bought it especially as my shaving costs are cutting out the greedy big corporations that screw us over by lying to us just to steal our money!

It shaves ok. Very good for the price. It cannot in any way be compared to the futur potato peeler, which i love & use a lot of the time. It is very light & has no balance point. Also it is not really aggressive, relatively speaking, provides a nice close shave just the same. I see someone bemoaning the fact that top razors cost too much?. The cost largely is justified. When you shave with this & a futur, you quickly realise where the money goes!. A good purchase overall, i will be happy to include it into my extensive razor collection, and use it regularly. Provided it does not break or fall apart in some way or other!.

I really like the way this thing looks, and the adjustment is a nice feature. Unfortunatly the cut is different on both sides of the razor, which makes getting a consistent shave difficult. I tried moving the blade around, turning the top around, but nothing helped. It's a shame as I really wanted to get along with this thing, but now it is just collecting dust.

I guess you get what you pay for, because this razor is complete rubbish. Better shaves from a bic, save your money. I use Astra platinum blades, very good quality, but the head positioning is awful.

It is as good as the very expensive ones in the market for a fraction of the price, great value for cash.

Ich habe mich das erste Mal mit Stufe 1, 3, und 6 rasesiert. Tatsächlich finde ich alle Stufen schonend! Bei Stufe 1 merke ich die Klinge so gut wie gar nicht. Mir persönlich ist dieser Klingenspalt auch zu gering. Ab Stufe 3 wird's für mich interessant. 6 wäre dann vllt. für längere Haare. Dieser Hobel lässt sich super ausspülen und ist von der Konstruktion gut durchdacht. Ich weiß nicht, ob es hier eine große Qualitätstreuung gibt. Aber meiner ist absolut in Ordnung. Die Klinge lässt sich gut einlegen und auswechseln. Kein rumgeschraube mit drei Teilen. Alles in allem sehr guter Hobel für wenig Geld. Es wurde von einigen beanstandet, dass keine Bedienungsanleitung dabei war. Hallo, sorry .... WER braucht hier eine Bedienungsanleitung? Das Ding erklärt sich von selbst Hoffe, dass dieser Hobel auch über. sehr lange Zeit hält. Denke aber, dass die Oberfläche, die ja nicht verchromt ist, Flecken bekommen könnte. Damit kann ich aber dann leben, solange er noch vollumfänglich funktioniert. Kaufempfehlung: JA absolut! Auch für Anfänger.

Très pratique , qualité au top

Bra hyvel till ett väldigt väldigt bra pris - det hade varit bra för bara rakhyveln, men här följer även ett fint läderfodral med. Inte speciellt agressiv, även på den högsta inställningen så om du vill ha en agressiv rakhyvel är det här nog inte rakhyveln för dig. Men för mig som är nybörjare är den perfekt, och jag kan verkligen inte klaga på effektiviteten, och jag har ändå ganska grov skäggväxt. Kan hålla med om att jag blev lite förvånad över att det inte låg med ens ett blad i paketet, men till det priset klagar jag verkligen inte.
