HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 120W, Black

I bought this to hook up my Windows 10 work laptop (HP Elitebook) to a couple of monitors, headphones and a wired internet connection. Once we are back working from the office it will save faffing about disconnecting/reconnecting everything as I split time between office and home. Dead easy to set up and works as it should, I have not had any of the issues mentioned in some of the negative reviews and would recommend. That said I do agree that the on/off switch - which is basically the top of the unit-is poorly thought out and the G5 is a better option (and cheaper) if you can find one and don't need the thunderbolt port. I bought mine from Amazon warehouse, which I initially had reservations about, but the unit was well packaged, contained all manufacturer paperwork and was in new condition. Although there is no manufacturer warranty the Amazon Warehouse warranty is just as comprehensive, which was was a dealbreaker for me

4 Star - because it has only DP Ports, no HDMI ports but if you can live with that it is very good product

I have a work laptop and every time I want to move from my desk to the sofa or the bench I have to unplug loads of cables. This I can charge, have the external monitor 4k and external camera, external speakers and mic; all through one cable. I love it and unlike the numerous nobrand docking station it just works. Not cheap but worth it.

Worked fine initially, then display output stopped working conveniently around the time the "return window" closed; removing return option after such a short time is questionable under UK law anyway.

Love this product. I have it running my 2019 macbook pro and connecting my 4k monitor as a second screen. Absolutely seamless functionality and a plenty of connectivity ports! I also bough the optional HP Audio Module that replaces the lid on the dock with a superb audio conferencing speaker/ mic, again controlled via my macbook using Teams, Zoom and general audio.

A "like new" product that looked like it was used to break into somewhere is a bit of a reach. It seemingly works perfectly, I'm getting 120Hz through the DP output and the USB ports are all still in good condition, but I have found that because I am using my AOC monitor as a USB hub that then leads into the dock, I am finding that I cannot use my keyboard or mouse for a minute or two - because I am dual-booting but mainly using Windows, it's defaulting to open Ubuntu when I don't want to because it times out. This is only happening after getting this dock into my setup. The dock also technically isn't as described nor pictured, as it's actually the twin cable version, so I have a HP barrel jack I have to hide because my Dell is USB-C only. Gonna contact the seller about all this...

Great accessory for HP ProBook 430/440 G6’s, very handy for hot desks. My users just need to plug in one cable and they have access to power, network, dual external monitors, fixed wire network, and keyboard and mouse.

This is a great item for tidying up the desk and making for a quick getaway when taking laptop to a meeting, but I was disappointed there was no UK plug supplied for a uk purchase. It comes with the two pin rounded plug so now I need to go buy an adapter :( Also when I first plugged in my second (Dell VGA) display it would not extend and so I went to the HP site and used their robot help. The help was surprisingly good and I had my monitor extended in not time.

Rempli les attentes: - Fonctionne avec Asus qui ne possède que des ports USB-C. - Faible encombrement. - Fonctionnement avec 2 écrans + écran du pc portable. - Connecteur ethernet. - Haute puissance de charge (120 W). - Il possède 1 port USB-A 3.0 et audio sur le côté et un port USB-C à l'avant qui sont très utiles. Points d'amélioration: - Bruit du ventilateur. - Ajout de 2 ports USB-A 3.0 supplémentaires à l'arrière (il n'a que 2 ports). - Câble un peu court 40 cm environ. 1m serait plus intéressant. A savoir: - Bien vérifier la liste de compatibilité ou les commentaires pour vérifier que le produit est compatible. Il y a un risque que les écrans et l'ethernet ne fonctionnent pas. - Un dispositif por connecter l'antivol (très pratique lors de déplacements) - Même s'il prend un peu de place, il est transportable (1kg approximativement) - Il est possible de mettre à jour facilement le firmware du dock avec les logiciels fournis par le support de HP. - 1 an de garantie HP et 2 ans commerçant.

our company gives out G2 dock for home use. It worked great and I'd need to get one as a second dock at home to replace an old thinkpad USB C dock. I always had some concerns about buying electronics from third party sellers. This one works great and just looks like a new OEM part. so far no issues.

The product does its job and is able to drive two 4K monitors and several USB peripheral devices. But just in a few months of use started glitching and eventually stopped working all together.
