Having had a positive experience with the floor vacuum and mopper from the same company, I decided to invest in their robot window cleaner. Here’s my detailed experience with the product: Initial Experience: My first unit, unfortunately, had some issues and never worked despite my efforts to troubleshoot for 30 minutes. This was disappointing, but I decided to give it another shot and ordered a second unit. Second Unit and Setup: The second unit arrived the next day. I carefully removed just the robot cleaner from the box and it worked immediately. Since everything else in the box was undisturbed, I repacked the first unit, initiated a return, and explained the issue. The return process was straightforward and hassle-free. Performance: I have a lot of windows in my home, many of which hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. This little robot got to work right away and performed admirably. The cleaner is simple to use, requiring only that you move it from window to window. I found it convenient to work on other tasks that I could pause frequently while the robot cleaned each window. Efficiency and Effectiveness: The robot window cleaner does a fantastic job, leaving the windows spotless. It has significantly reduced the time and effort I used to spend on window cleaning. The ease of use and effectiveness make it a standout product. Overall Satisfaction: Despite the initial hiccup with the first unit, I am very pleased with my purchase. The second unit works flawlessly, and the convenience it provides is invaluable. This robot window cleaner has become an essential tool in maintaining my home, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. Second revision: I contacted ECOVACS customer service. They said it’s under warranty for a year, as long as I had proof of purchase. Sent them my Amazon receipt and machine. They sent me back a new vacuum in about a week. Good on you ECOVACS! My original review is below, but I am revising this in April 2023. I bought this in jan 2023. Three and one/half months later, it is malfunctioning and making a tremendous racket. Cleaning the brushes and other parts I can get to doesn’t help. The problem seems to be in the mechanism that turns the brushes. If I remove the brushes, it runs quietly. But the minute the brushes are out back in, the noise begins. I contacted the seller and their response was basically “too bad”. They gave me “tips” on how to clean the vacuum, which is no help. I already do all the things they recommended. But why bother giving me tips on how to clean the thing when it no longer works!!!! I will not buy from this seller again. This is my second Deebot N79. My old one, which is 4.5 yes old, still runs and picks up dirt like crazy, but stayed making a squealing noise that I can’t fix by cleaning or adjusting anything. So, figured it was time for a new one. I have vinyl floors, no room to room carpet, but I do have small throw rugs one one 5x7 area rug. The Deebot does a great job on all of them except the area rug. It does “ok” on the area rug, but the pile is a little too high for the Deebot to do as well as an upright vacuum. I have three dogs, one of which is a shedder, and I run the Deebot nearly every day. I hope this new Deebot works as well and lasts as long as the old one did with daily use! The N79 is one of the least expensive eco vac models, but as good a job ad it does, I don’t see a reason for me to even think about more expensive ones. Plus, both my Deebot are much quieter than the two roombas I had some years ago.

This thing is incredible! We have almost completely stopped manually vacuuming since this companion entered our home. We only use a manual vacuum to touch up our floors on occasion, such as around the edges of the floor, in hard to reach areas that the robot vacuum cannot reach/fit into, or if we break something that requires immediate attention, such as a glass. I got this as there are a couple of near impossible to clean windows in my house. (The house dangles over a ravine, so getting the outside of the ravine facing windows is...not very doable for those who value their lives.) Over time, they've gotten pretty grimy, so I got this, hoping it would work. And it did! The machine is pretty easy to use. Charge it a bit (it has an extra battery just in case the main power dies, so it doesn't go flying off a window), plug it in, tie it's teather to something, then stick it on a window and hit the on button. Then off it goes, rolling across the window and cleaning everything in its path. So easy to use and a great gizmo if you have hard (or impossible) to clean windows. I did knock off a star as the machine seems to get "confused" a lot and sort of not clean the entire window. This isn't a huge problem as I was able to just run it again, but kind of annoying. It also sometimes "lost suction power" and refused to move (at which point I had to haul it across the window by tugging on its tether and power cord), and it also sometimes refused to return to its starting point for some reason (which again necessitated me dragging it over). It also annoyingly kept bugging me to install its app...even after I'd done so. (Why, machine, why?) But it ran without it being installed so....IDK. But it works. Crazy as it seems, it really works. My windows now are clean, which is something I never thought I'd be able to do. So very much recommended if you have hard/impossible to clean windows. This little gadget does what it says it'll do.

Im told you need to use this stuff exclusively so I do. after a gallon down the road, I have to say it's worth it. streak free, works on sale sprayed windows better than me trying with windex costs a bit more but you get what you pay for

WOW. This little guy works great. Even used it on the outside of the same 9 windows that are 3'x8'. Clean mopping pad and sensors as it tells you. The outside took two passes on a couple of the dirtier windows. Sea salt and lots of sun, wind, birds and weather and Winbot Mini suprised me by cleaning off even some streaks of whatever. A little noisy indoors.

The product looks neat and does the job but only for a limited time of use. The unit I bought, I have used it a couple of times then was put back in its bag. After a year or so when I took it out to use it again, noticed that the battery would not hold charge which means the unit is unusable. I was not alarmed at first thinking that Ecovacs would replace the battery since it should not be a big issue for them, but I was wrong as they have swiftly evaded and refused to help pointing out that 1-year limited warranty was just over. Doing a quick search around shows similar complaints all over. Probably this was a faulty or a poor-quality selection of parts when they designed the product. The battery is custom and is connected to power cord and cannot be easily replaced by the user. For me this Ecovacs experience was just like throwing 350$ in the garbage.

I tried out one of the cheaper two spinning head units.. it didn't work well at all. Left corners and edges unclean. Also left circular marks on Glass... so effectively I had to go clean the glass afterwards. I tried this square unit by Ecovacs thinking it probably would be substandard. Well I am super happy. They wanted $350 to clean my windows. I was afraid they would break tiles on my roof so I really wanted to do it myself. This Ecovac unit when set on 2x clean (2 cycles) it does fantantic on my large sliding glass doors. When it comes to my windows it does quite well. I did have a couple windows that it slipped off of. The reason it slips is if you have edges on side of the glass that are less then 40 degrees it may slightly go over the edge and then loose suction and fall. They have a strap to catch it if it falls, problem is you may not have anything above to strap it too. SO what I did was grab a few large cushions from my back porch furniture and put them under the particular window I am cleaning just as a fail safe backup. They are a couple high windows on 2nd floor I just open the window, hold the cord up high and let the robot clean.. while I play spotter. Once again this is only because my windows have a shallower edge. My Glass sliding doors have a straight 90 degree edge so they never have had any issues riding up and falling off. After each window, I simply pull the terry cloth pad off the bottom, do about 4 quick rinses and squeeze it out and put it back on for another window. The unit also has a small water tank that I refill with filtered water (Zero water) after each 2 large windows or glass doors. I also love the cary case they provide, it looks nice but more importantly has plenty extra room so all the cables easily fit in with any struggle. By the way, I had not cleaned my windows in 7 years.. Yet they came out very clean. VERY happy with this product. Oh also if the power goes out it has its own safety batter that keeps the suction going so it doesn't fall off of a windows because of loss of AC power. NOW I just wish I could find a good floor robot mopper.... BUT i'm afraid to try any out yet. I will wait a bit longer for more improvements there.
