I purchased these Vitamin B-12 capsules for my 12 year old maltipoo who was diagnosed with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency or EPI. This insufficiency does not allow his body to absorb the vitamin B-12 that he consumes. I give him one capsule a day sprinkled on top of his food, along with the enzymes I sprinkle as well. These enzymes help him to absorb the nutrients from the food as well as the vitamin B-12 his body so badly needs. There is no smell and evidently no bad taste because my dog devours his food. I've been giving him this vitamin for three years now because it's so easy to use and he's had no vomiting or diarrhea from consuming it. This bottle lasts me six months for such a reasonable price. My GSD was diagnosed with anemia via bloodwork, and the vet said without a blood transfusion he would die. Not a fan of allopathic medicine, i put him on an iron supplement combined with this B-12 (as B12 is required for absorption of iron). After just a few weeks, He’s back to his old never-stops self! Side note: I am a naturopath so I always try natural before invasive options. If it hadn’t worked after a week I would’ve of course, had the blood transfusion.
