This is all you need for mobile gaming!
This arrived maybe 15-20 minutes ago and connected to my Sony Xperia 5V without issue. I haven't bothered setting up any of the buttons and downloaded Sonic the Hedgehog (original) to play. This is perfect. It feels good in my hand and the size is portable and will easily fit in my bag when travelling. I never considered playing games like this and am old school with it. I prefer 8-bit and 16-bit games.. I really do need Streetfighter II and am struggling to find it. But Golden Axe, maybe Altered Beast and a couple others I'll find today. I am really impressed with this. The price is really good, the device itself feels nice in my hands, and you have made a 43 year old very happy. Thank you xx

Great for gaming on a phone
Been using this for the last week on a Samsung 25 ultra and it works great with the power cord plugged in. Without the cord it is a pain. This is more down to the Samsung phone itself and how it handles OTG i.e powering external devices. I don't know if this is a problem for most Samsungs but I would expect so as it is the UI which is missing the Android Stock settings. The work around for me was to initially power up the GamesSir with a cable, put in the phone, establish the connection and confirm the controller works. Leave for a 5 minutes, then remove the phone, remove the power and reattach the phone. Seems to work most of the time now for me. I'm also unsure if it has some to do with (a) The amount of charge the phone has (b) phone settings like battery saver etc. My pixel 3xl on the other hand connections flawlessly. So, great device! It is your phone which you may need to play around with. I'd recommend getting a case as well. There's plenty on Amazon and the one I got was a Aenllosi Hard Carrying Case i think for £19. Plenty of room in there for the GamesSir, phone, powerbank, earbuds etc.

Bare minimum features, OK quality for a low price.
Arrived as described. It fits my phone, which has an awkward camera bump, with plenty of room to spare. Cheap construction that feels reasonably solid but not sure it will stand the test of time, and it will definitely not hold up to rough treatment. A phone is OK in this but it doesn't feel structurally solid enough 'fully extended' to fit a tablet safely. Feels good to hold. D-pad is mushy and doesn't feel good to use and the face buttons are too loud. The sticks feel just right but someone with larger hands will find them uncomfortable. USB-C connector feels like the point of failure because it can move. Works natively with Steam Link and some games such as Wuthering Waves, but other games like COD Mobile refuse to detect the controller and require an overlay through the GameSir app. You can also update the firmware on the app, the controller overlay has a lot of problems on older versions of the firmware. A lot of the negative reviews on the app and controller are due to these problems but they seem to be sorted out now. There is no rumble component or onboard battery, it runs off your phone's battery. It comes with a USB-C external port but this is power passthrough only and not data, meaning that for audio you must rely on either laggy bluetooth or speakers. Overall this is a cheap mobile controller offering the minimum features you would expect with nothing extra, for the budget-conscious. You can get better quality offerings at two or three times the price.

Perfect
I’ve had backbone one and gamesir G8+ and this is a perfect combination of both with comfortable gamesir feel and low latency connection similar to the backbone.

Avoid buying these controllers unless you want a broken controller 😭...
Bought this a controller 5 weeks ago already having issues with it sinking to my phone. Its now all of a sudden stopped working all together due to the c type charger bit not even picking up connection with my phone since purchasing. Got it up and running twice to play fps games kept getting kicked out games and or dying over and over due too controller un sinking with phone every 2 seconds. Delivery driver also jumps out of the back of his can and dropped my controller package right infront of me picks it up shrugs it off and hands me it during delivery 🤷♂️🤣. Type c charger bit is meant to stick out of controller by a certain distance and give you certain movement and connection. But mines arrived jammed into the controller restricting movement and connection between phone and controller. Seems very cheap and flimsy made for the price you pay for purchase. But purchase now just seems a complete waste of time and money. As not even had the controller 5 weeks and already completely useless. Complete waste of purchase and money as used it twice since owning. Felt like it already came and arrived half broken with major connection issues as now doesn't even power on when connected to my phone. Plug in a charger device to controller and it flashes with blue lights saying its powered up but still doesn't connect with phone even when on charge. Avoid purchasing unless you want a non responsive controller after a month of buying 🤦♂️😂.

check if it's suitable for your device
It is rather useless for me 1) Levono yoga tablet is too big to fit into that 2) Samusng phone - galaxy a14 - in games screen automatically turns horizontal 'wrong' way so I need to tweak that using some apps 3) Realme GT master - doesn't work with it

Perfectly fitting my Galaxy S25 Ultra. Fantastic controller that turns my phone into a game console. Currently playing GTA V San Andreas and Red Dead Redemption - today's release.

Perfect Budget Non-Bluetooth Controller
I use this with a Samsung Galaxy z fold7 and the button responsiveness is perfect. It's a simple plug and play with the controller feeling sturdy even if it felt a little small in my hands I quickly got used to it.

Bought this solely for playing Stardew Valley on my iPhone 16 and it works great. The instructions were a bit lacking so it took some searching around to figure out how to switch it from "Android" to "Switch" mode in order to work with my iPhone but once there it stays there so I don't have to worry about it. The controller also included various thicknesses of rubber pads that go alongside the USB-C plug which allowed me to fit my phone into the controller without taking my phone case (a standard Speck case) off which was another concern. The buttons are a little cheap feeling but they work just fine and the whole controller is nice and light which is appreciated so no complaints. I did not have to configure any buttons either, it worked as a normal control would once plugged in and set to "Switch" mode. Would recommend!

Works really well for Android phones with USB-C ports and barely needs any set up. Grip is comfortable and feels solid enough even though it is rather light.
